It's dropped down tp 14500 now.

How will telkom handle this? Will they drop me to 10mb to stabilise or do they have a profile in between?

The sync can drop while the profile remains stable. But if I'm honest they've been doing a lot of dropping to 10Mbps of late rather than finding a stable in-between sync. Or should I say, ASSIA's systems have.

Something is borked tonight (PE) on CW/IS.

Getting buffering on Netflix and OSS (kodi) streams.

Speedtests to SAIX (PE to CT) local maxing out at 2mbps on 20mbps DSL and same speeds to UK on thinkbroadband.

Hopping over to Afrihost and it's full speed ahead.

Can someone investigate ?

Can you let support know about this - they're working on a few things tonight and will have much quicker turnaround on this sort of thing than me right now. :)
 
Something on IS out of PE, she is broken tonight .... eish .... >90% loss from 2nd hop onwards.

Perhaps this is what happens when Telkom do major network upgrades and maintenance ...

And this is why tracerts are useless. Anyone looking at a tracert would have told you all looks perfect with those pings. Meanwhile those pings only apply to 6% of the packets you're sending, because the rest drop at or before the exchange.
