Thanks Shaun - appreciated the feedback will PM in future until resolved and the real culprit is identified.

TBH, I do believe something is up on my account and limited to PE at present. Other users seem very very happy and I believe that truly is the case - CW go out of their way to help :)

It certainly is very isolated, which oddly enough does help to diagnose the issue a little.

I've loaded up 50 gigs on that test account already, so you won't be hamstrung if I can't resolve it today. I also won't take it from your normal usage either so it's a freebie.

EDIT: Eish, just saw your cancellation come through. Sorry to see you go before we could fix this. :(

I have been using Crystalweb for some time now. Almost a year. They have been awesome. Service is amazing!

Keep it up Shaun & co. Excellent...

If we can resolve this before the end of the month I'll gladly stay and revert - just can't spend May running tests and suffering down here in PE - don't have the time or energy !

Appreciate your assistance. Sending you http download tests from testmy.net via PM now.

Initially saw 5gigs - 50gigs wow thanks - ok seriously impressed. Thanks for the work around until resolved. Holding thumbs.

OK.

And thanks for the data. Can you rather send it direct to the support email? As I'll simply load it onto your profile in the support desk as well - kills two birds, one stone, sort of thing. :)

Thanks Shaun

IT's not the Asus - eliminated that at least.

Anyhow, running PingPlotter for a few hours now and after hop 1 there is <0.1% loss on most sites (I have crystalweb.co.za, news24, thinkbroadband.co.uk tracing) so whatever "packet loss" is happening inside my network on the first hop (Zyxel modem) is not affecting the destination latency (it's excellent) nor quality upstream on any of the terminating hops.
this brings back really ****ed up memories

Ah seems I misread. Yes I know caused a lot of issues with CW and hope the support staff weren't overworked. Sorry for all the trouble and thanks for keeping up with my unusual needs while my line was undergoing fixing.

So I signed up for a trial account. Will be doing some rigorous testing.

Have to give a HUGE thank you to Support Jedi. He/She really went above and beyond for my line related issues.

Hopefully everything works out as we're still testing, but I must commend the outstanding service.

The quality of service from CW is truly well above any other service provider I've experienced to date.

Hi Gents,

What account would give me a better performance in terms of streaming? My instinct says that the 90gb capped would out perform the premium home uncapped account, however it is cheaper, so can you please confirm which account would get preference? Trying to determine if a move would help instead of upgrading the line speed.

The Premium uncapped is made for streaming and gaming, with downloads during the day taking a bit of a back seat. It would be best to schedule downloads between 00:00 and 08:00 on the Premium uncapped.

Ito streaming it is THE account to own in SA.

Thx, time for a line speed upgrade then.

So, 20MB premium uncapped or 300+1200GB business standard capped. Cost is the same so not a factor.

Same price, do around 700GB a month mostly on NNTP. On weekends I download when at home (legit things since I do a lot of work on Azure), and then the odd Xbox One digital game.

Looking for predictable performance throughout the day.

My 120 + 350GB or something like that was very good, but I struggled to make the 120GB last for my very active network.

It was on a 4Mbps line though, not 20Mbps and it was a Business Pro account.
