As per your other thread you noted that you are looking at getting home capped. The fee trial account runs of their highest priority account i.e. Business capped and therefore you will not get an accurate representation of the performance of Home capped by using this account.

I figured as much, that's why I started the thread asking for advice from actual home capped users

You do realise that the damage to the brand by your doing has been done? Not to mention the fact you went as far as to ensure I got a infraction for your mistakes.

Yes, I do realize that. I made a mistake. I have apologised openly for that mistake, and I'll apologize to CW here and privately to them.

Is there anything else I can do?
 
At this rate the only way I'll be able to build a post count is joining the mindless roaches in the tk. Great job mybb.

Encouraging constructive interaction is definately your priority.

I suspect the infraction has nothing to do with MyLowBandwidth and everything to do with a culture of abuse by some of the MyBB moderators

far too many cockups to not fall back to conspiracy

Informed comment and discussion is not valued on this forum I am afraid - which is why you find over the last 18 months a notable decline in the number of posts from many more insightful members

As for tk... It's become more of an its-the-weekend-and-im-alone thread than a thought provoking perpetual discussion of things that aren't but are.

But it seems to depend on the time of day you're around which differs from person to person so let's agree to disagree on the basis outlined above.

I'm really embarrassed to have to admit that I'm still using the free MWEB router I got when MWEB Fon was launched. If I switch to using my old D-link router my speeds seem to improve. Also, data usage of whats reported on the router vs whats reported by CW is closer aligned.

I'm thinking that as an MWEB user, sharing my router and data over the MWEB network is fine, but once I'm off the MWEB network, I'm still sharing data - at my expense. Is this plausible? I just never thought of this before and if its possible that this is my problem, well... stupid is an understatement.

Indeed but it is this sort of bull**** that means that the announcement that Thunderbolt 3 will be using the USB Type-C connector isn't a topic of discussion on MyBB

I am afraid the moderator who has been dishing out infractions to Crystal Web customers is quite simply responding to my telling him to take a hike when he infracted me for calling out one of the other moderators who has a habit of making actual defamatory statements.

and look I am not in TK at the moment - the thread has lost much of its epicness with the general rot setting in.

With my limited knowledge, zero packet loss tells me there's nothing overly concerning here.

I think its the router. Somehow it doesn't count data that goes over the Fon interface.

I too have received an infraction from Morkhans, Seems he is out for blood against CW customers

There is almost a democracy in this forum, where the mods think they are above the law and can get away with murder.

It's like Zuma and Nkandla really and MyBroadband is the ANC.

I think what is really poor form about this saga is that as CW we do actually take kindly to criticism even when it is off the mark. And the mistreatment is horribly unfair to somebody who makes an honest mistake. If you look at several instances where the company comes under fire we endeavor as Crystal Web to respond frankly and fairly (I admit I am inclined to put in a little bit of snarknyness in between genuine jest). What also invariably happens is that there is real and meaningful engagement from the customer base itself.

However if you have maligned action coming from above it very quickly gets to a point where contrary to our culture there isn't transparency or meaningful engagement.

So for example I simply have no interest in Hello Peter in its current form as it doesn't connect into a transparent means by which disputes or misunderstandings can be resolved nor does it empower private resolving of issues either. One of the benefits of the MyBB community has traditionally been the presence of a large number of individuals who value transparency and have an adequate understanding - or more importantly desire to understand - the realities of a situation, a "broadmindedness" as it were.

Anyone from CW mind explaining why I'm only getting 1/4 my 10Mbps line speed on torrents after 12am?

Speedetest.net runs at full speed but torrents are 1/4...
