We have rushed through the upgrade process with various parties now to resolve the speed issues experienced on some protocols. All upgrades will now begin this week and based on current ETA will be completed by Saturday.

Awesome, sounds hopeful!

Saturday? I just received an email stating end of the month, with the best case stating two weeks?

Can we please get some clarity and consistency?

The email was sent before we received confirmation of the process. Current ETA is Saturday at the moment. We rely on third parties to perform this installation (not IPC btw) and this is the date they have provided us with. I hate relying on third parties and their ETAs but it's an inevitable requirement.

Any indication what the upgrades entail? (just curious here)

Would all this be affecting HTTP downloads?
Before you guys did the IP switch i was getting line speed on a normal 16 threaded download.
But now i have to run between 32 and 48 connections to get line speed but even then it dips and is not solid.

You should be back on the normal IP range now. If not, please let me know.

The only affected services are download protocols at the moment - and not absurdly affected either.

Just for the record, will these upgrades/fixes result in 10Mbps+ accounts running at line speed when utilising "Tier 1" data?

These upgrades will fix the current issues experienced on download protocols, yes.

I'm back on the 105 IP, but downloads are definitely worse then before the IP switch that happened.
Also getting 400ms to 500ms ping to international.

Am chatting to support right now, but appears your chat has decided it wants to be Russian today. So sorting that out first. :P

The current issues are not only on download protocols. Streaming is very poor too.

+3

First time I had any issues streaming on CW too

NNTP running ~200KB/s on 4MB, http download at 20-60KB/s

Not sure about streaming, not @ home

So now the 4Mbps accounts are running at 50% too? Curious.

I wonder if the "upgrades" are simply CW buying additional capacity, and scrambling for cash flow, because it oversold without making sure the capacity is in place first. Sure sounds like that.

TBH I hate anything other than 80%-100% of max line speed regardless of protocol.

For that reason with CW issues I been using my Afrihost backup capped account which seldom lets me down. Hell, I posted screenshots on Friday with it running at 100%.

From Saturday it has been shot though and I'm currently getting no better than 40% max line speed.

Point is there seems to be a serious issue effecting multiple ISP's!!!

Hate to say it but it's indicative of this countries crappy Telecoms infrastucture!!

Hardly, I can assure you. This is not an IPC capacity issue, as previously mentioned.
