Well, the news server is borked and slow. Have to download 90% of my stuff again now at 190KB\s on a 4mbps account.
 
How do you get connected in the first place? Support tells me it's down..

I get "502 Invalid username or password provided"
 
It was spiking between 85 and 144KB\s earlier this morning. Switched the server from CW to xsusenet, then downloads stabilized at 180KB\s. All the stuff downloaded with CW news server was incomplete with only 3 to 5 blocks per thread available, some even not downloaded correctly. Re-downloading my stuff via test.xennanews.com with 4 connections.

Im using a different provider, tweaknews. I still haven't gotten my crystal web news server details.
 
Those of you that got you're details, is the login/router details the same as the news server details?

SuperSport streaming: Rugby
Streaming is pretty decent.
1 minute average:
Max: 3.44Mbps
Average: 0.62Mbps
Current: 2.26Mbps
 
Even the perfect streaming from CW couldn't help Liverpool today. :(
 
Something definitely wonky on the latest files from the news server - a lot of failed downloads with small amounts of blocks short. Very infuriating. Strange happening though, I decided to grab some files that were a couple of weeks old and those completed just fine. Perhaps something changed with the new usernames?
 
Hey CW, I just wanted to know the process of upgrading to a 4mbps option with you guys?

Also (to forum members) with regards to my Telkom ADSL line rental, can be done at any time of the month (if so will it be pro-rata'd)?

Switched to my new "permanent" account a few minutes ago.

Browsing appears to be fine, but torrents and NTTP are consistently under 100kb/s, on a Sat eve, while still on Tier 1 data :confused:

and no communication from Paul or DJ about this is noticeable.

Been like that for me since last night. I really hope it gets fixed soon.

Having the same issue here, nntp is well below the speed it should be :/
