and no communication from Paul or DJ about this is noticeable.
Been a little bit busy with a few things and it seems the guys facilitating forcing take downs of content have been busy lately.

We've been running some tests to establish possible causes but are naturally awaiting responses on channel partners and would prefer to make any comments with some hard data.
 
Switched to my new "permanent" account a few minutes ago.

Browsing appears to be fine, but torrents and NTTP are consistently under 100kb/s, on a Sat eve, while still on Tier 1 data :confused:

Been like that for me all day as well, yesterday was fine. HTTP downloads at 130KB/s on a 4mbps line right now :/

It's actually had me working constantly on how, where, when I can recreate this, to fix if need be.

We need to know a ton of variables before we can diagnose a network related fault, and just because we're not acknowledging every post doesn't mean we're not working hard behind the scenes. We truly are. I personally can't replicate a lot of the reported issues, which is par for the course with 90% of reported problems in that they're either isolated in time or location, or unrelated to us. So give us a chance to investigate properly, and if a fix is needed, we will implement it. You have my word in writing on that one. I know of two issues right now that have been reported to be fixed. Slower than expected http downloads on single threaded connections (multi-threading mostly solves this for now) and slow NNTP which we're trying to diagnose 100% before making any definitive changes or statements about.

Know this: no intentional shaping is being applied right now - if there are the symptoms of shaping being experienced, we will always investigate and look to fix it if the fault lies with us. We never have been, and never will be shy to admit any issues, and there apparently are a couple issues we need to address, which may by the looks of things be our fault. If it is, and I can confirm as such, we'll address it for you.

Im getting 400 Kb/s on torrents at the moment, so no issues this side on that front. (4MB line)

CW, is there any tests that we can run to test/help diagnose the nntp issue? I am willing to assist where possible.

Are we supposed to see a new look / a new customer login ?
I only see the same Zoho customer site, for which I have no credentials as of yet anyway..

Not yet - the new site goes live in the new week. Moving all customers over correctly was phase 1. We're all working hard now on getting phase 2 fixed up.
 
I allso never got my mails all tough they said it was sent twice, CW did send a PM but only Router details,

To my email? Nothing there, except the "Your application is being processed" mail.

I've resent it from our ticketing system in response to your ticket. Apologies. There is an issue with the mail provider for automated mails which we're investigating.
 
I am in the process of testing various ISP accounts.

Seems like crystal web is the only "first option" for performance...

Currently testing an OpenWeb Uncapped, useless product to say the least. I will become a part of the crystalweb family soon enough
 
Hi there, can we please get an estimated completion time on the fix to the news server authentication shenanigans? I find myself checking it every time I remember, only to be disappointed.
 
Also did not receive login details yesterday. Received invoice which I paid and support ticket when queried details ([##3644##] ).

Just a quick question for fiber to home and vdsl do they take RJ11 or RJ45?
