CW, please respond.

My apologies. Been a little hectic. This is an odd issue that was reported to us by a few customers - we've isolated the issue to one of two things right now, and both providers have been informed and are working on it. In the interim please do make use of live chat for the time being if you are not receiving the replies we are sending. We are hoping to have the providers come back with a solution in the next few days but they're not as easily accessible as one would expect this time of year. :(

When I send an email to support, I do not receive a reply and I do not even receive automatic confirmation of receipt. However when I get a “How would you rate” email, I can then see the reply that you sent, further down in the email. This has happened a few times recently.

I sent the above to support on Saturday, and umm........ I didn't get a response :)

Same here for me. Never get the reply but on the survey email of rating support I can see the reply?

CW, please respond.

They are aware of the issue with the ticketing system

@CW I noticed HTTP is borked again, I couldn't get more than 40KB/s trying to download the latest Nightly at 5.30am this morning.
Is this still being addressed? Over the weekend HTTP seemed to be performing like normal.

Seems like pretty much everything is returning back to where it should be, apart from HTTP(S) downloads. I have requested an update on this one and where possible will keep you updated. Did multi-threading the download help at all? I know it's not possible for all downloads, however.

Yes, multithreading got it up to line speed in my case

Thanks for the update, I'm glad it's still being worked on.
On some downloads, using Down Them All, I can add segments and that does get me speeds higher than 40kB/s but this doesn't work with all downloads. Android File Host is one of those that trying to multi-thread the download doesn't work :( - I wish XDA developers didn't use that file host, it's slowing down my CM12 testing :p

When will Twitch.tv be fixed? It was pretty decent most of the weekend, but last night I had to resort to 3rd party programs again to watch anything above medium on my 20Mb line.

NNTP back to being throttled/shaped today, barely getting 2m speeds on 10m line.

CW 20MB and 40MB accounts.

As per my question to WebAfrica, I do around 500-1TB a month. It ranges from Xbox Ones games (upto 50GB per digital copy) which starts whenever the digital pre-order is available. NNTP usually finishes around 8:00 in the morning. Hardly ever torrent, and have to do the odd VPN to work from time to time.

What would my experience be with these accounts? I see they talk about data being split into tier 1 and 2 levels, is that worked on a star rating or certain bandwith etc? The website doesn't explain this well.

Tier 1 applies no specific shaping to any bandwidth. It simply contends for bandwidth as very high priority. Tier 2 shapes download traffic and releases this from midnight to 7am. Streaming, VPN etc is never touched unless the VPN is used to bypass shaping. On 40Mbps you will receive 400GB of tier 1 bandwidth before tier 2 bandwidth kicks in.

There is an awesome announcement about this all coming soon, with respect to product development. We're just finishing up the commercial and legal side of things at the moment before we can make it official.

Do you use up the Tier 1 data first and then fall into Tier 2? Or does usage from 12-7 not count towards it? Just asking since it seems more and more ISPs are having this split option.

Your announcement sounds intriguing. Maybe you can PM me some info about it, as I've cancelled my AH 20MB business and looking to pull the trigger on another ISP soon. I don't want to sign up and then see there was a better option.

Tier 1 is used up first, there is no split. I also can't send any information about this yet, as it is part of a set of very sensitive commercial talks.

Look at that, promise of yet more upgrades and fixes.
TBH I think you guys are doing more harm than good now with all these promises and failed delivery.

Oh stop moaning and just reboot your modem already :p
I'm a 10Mb Uncapped CW customer who's feeling forced to use Web Africa at the moment and have to agree - lot's of promises of awesomeness to come yet I'm not sure if I'm still waiting for them or if some have already happened.

Anyway... some few days till the 19th so let's see what happens.

What does the 19th bring?
A promise of upgraded performance? Like before?

Edit: Powercycle not reboot.
