Lekker news, just some clarification on whether the current "unshaped" allocation will still be a thing or will dynamic shaping be applied from the get go?

Which customers are moving over first. Will we all move over gradually?

Dynamic from the get-go. Going unshaped and essentially removing the heavy subsequent shaping is just not feasible.

But that doesn't mean Fusion is gone. In fact we've designed the new network with Fusion in mind to do the change if need be as well. We feel the best solution though is consistent performance rather than having a dichotomy of experiences.

This is actually quite an analytical thing we're doing at the moment. As some may know, simply pushing everyone over at once will cause a massive problem as everyone tries to all test and annihilate the new network at the same time, so we'll do this gradually based on data we have available.

Thanks for the feedback, Shaun and co. Some interesting stuff about where CW is heading in terms of how uncapped and prioritization will be handled.

That said, I'm just looking forward to having my account usable again after a few weeks of erratic performance and no solid cause to blame it on yet. Hopefully this 2nd network will be the silver bullet I, and I'm sure a few others on here, have been waiting for.

Would love to try out the new network before my account expires at month end. The current network is not good at all. It would be impossible for me to use up the account before month end with the current throughput.

That being said, it was free so I can't complain. :)

Thanks, mail received. Good news all round, then. I'm looking forward to the migration.

(*throes. *cough*)

Hi Dj, Paul, Crystalweb

I feel that I should be on the new network as I am not a standard (fusion) uncapped customer. I am on the unshaped uncapped account, paying more then most of the customers on here.

It is therefore in my best interest to be moved onto the network which will allow me to be at line speed 24/7 on all protocols. After all, I am paying for it.

My http is still currently suffering on single threaded downloads. I hate download managers. I just want to be able to download through chrome or safari at line speed. That is all I ask.

/cue all of the posts justifying why they should be moved first. ;)

Are you only experiencing HTTP download issues or is it wider than that?
