/cue all of the posts justifying why they should be moved first. ;)

Are you only experiencing HTTP download issues or is it wider than that?

I play Path of Exile on Hardcore (Bloodlines) - thus I need a stable ping to stay alive - does that count to be moved first ? :p

Well, I don't use nntp, I mostly stream, do a bit of gaming, popcorntime which is torrents basically and http.

So yes, I should be moved first because I spend more money and still use less then most people.

Edit: which basically means that CW makes more profit off me then most because my usage is relatively low compared to some people here. Therefore, it's only fair I get to move first :)

Edit 2: I win. You can all stop typing your justifications now :)

Atleast you are using your account. I am currently using VOX for gaming - CW is way to spiky to play safely :) Meh - I just hope the upgrades are worth the extra month I am paying for - since Im not using my account atm :|

Haha. We will take your post into consideration (as an exception, as it's not how we will be doing this.)

Also, margins are not only on usage (we've been trying to convince the market about this for a while) - it's more about peak throughput.

Don't kid yourself, you know very well you are making a good profit off me :) I'm fine with that though, don't get me wrong, I support you. Just gimme what I want in return :)

Oh that's not what I was getting at at all. I was correcting the misconception about usage being the driver of profits necessarily. It's a factor, for sure, but part of a few.

Interesting way of justifying it :D

Hahaha no worries!

Oh, please thank the support agent who helped me earlier. I wanted to rate him but I didn't see anywhere where I could rate him. I'm just still waiting for feedback on the downgrade.

That was Mikey, and I shall do. Rating emails are sent a day after a ticket is closed. :)

Good luck CW with the migration. Looking forward to being able to update and install my Linux boxes at line speed.

So, a couple of things that jumped out at me:

1) I see no mention of your new partner, although Cybersmart is mentioned by name when talking about the issues in the past few weeks. It'd be nice to know who the new backbone provider is. I'm moving ISPs at the end of the month and knowing what CW's moving to would help cement my decision.

2) There's no longer any talk about the asymmetric network. Is this still a thing? Will you still use the Cybersmart backbone after the migration? Would there be a point to keeping it given how you're painting the new capacity to be vastly superior?

3) I don't mind the return of the shaper, that isn't a deal-breaker. But the "when the network is under load" line confuses me. Is this related to the amount of capacity you have available or time of day? Does it get turned off on weekends? Are Steam/Origin/GoG/Uplay/PSN/XBL/eShop downloads counted in this? If I'm on 4Mb, how badly will the shaper affect me for large downloads off PSN? I'm assuming you'll be able to reveal much later what the threshold is for a download to be considered "large." (no-one wants to have an iOS update fiasco on their hands like Afrihost did)

4) "Speed-boosting downloads when urgent". Is this actually on the table? You're thinking of monetising the shaping system so that when people want to circumvent it briefly, they pay extra? Is the line "unshaped uncapped internet as standard" still applicable here?

5) "Ultimate Gamer"?

If you can reveal your new capacity partner that would help put things in perspective, right now I'm not sure if I want to join in now, when things are being moved over.
