Streaming is pretty crap on CW. 280 in netflix, switch to vox or wa. 720p.
The whole telkom "broken link" issue seems to have given most of us a crappy experience last night. This is by no means the norm.
How is streaming going now is it still bad? Is Telkom the one at fault or something else?
My streaming is useless on cw, right now using Vox, 720.
Not a regular occurrence at all.Ok not too good i'm considering moving over to CW mainly for streaming and a bit of gaming. Does this happen often or its just now? Need a new ISP before end of holiday
How is WA performing fine then?
Not a regular occurrence at all.
Let me put it this way. I have never had issues steaming on CW (Minus the initial hiccups)on 720p or higher until last night where we had poor throughput to the point where we just watched stuff using the media server. So i don't know whats up but its not working like it always does.
Telkom not only broke some of IS' IPC in Johannesburg but also experiencing a network outage. Apparently their (Telkom) technicians are onsite and trying to fix it...
Hey guys,
I apologise for last night. There was a Telkom issue which has been resolved as per treebsd's posts (thank you). I apologise for not being around to notify you guys or to update the network status section of the site. Ordinarily someone else would have done so but it falling on a public holiday didn't help matters.
Thank you for the notice.Network Notice:
Starting tomorrow (Sunday 05 April 2015) until Thursday next week (09 April 2015) numerous Telkom exchanges will intermittently go offline for maintenance as part of Telkom's major network upgrades. The list is extensive and countrywide, and you may experience loss of DSL sync or decreased throughput for up to 5 hours during this process. Don't be alarmed. There's no need to report a fault if you experience this, unless the service is not restored 24 hours. You should be back up and running in a few hours.
