Here in Cape Town, along the West Coast, I'm still having issues with my Youtube streaming through the PS3.

Quality constsntly fluctuates between 1080p and what looks like 144p. Already had tech take a look but the issue persists.

Is there still no update on this? Telling me to power cycle my router doesn't help.

It has been a long day for the support staff - Murphey didn't knock this morning; he sent in all of his henchmen and the horsemen of the apocalypse
Are you able to get any other performance related data? WinMTR results etc?

Yeah the last time I hopped onto the Support chat I had to provide those results and power cycle the router.

Issue still persists though. Text in Youtube is illegible the quality is so bad.

That attitude must get you everywhere. #jacobneedsyou

It is what it is, I can't change it. On the upside when TI had IPC issues in KZN I logged a fault and they discounted me for the duration of the fault on the ISP & line side. Trust me I do complain when things go south but SA businesses will generally show you a toffee while pocketing your money under the guise of a "best effort service".

Yep it's back again  Youtube defaults to 240p & 720p buffers every few seconds. C'mon guys really!

I had similar Youtube problems a few days ago. And then after like 15 minutes of keeping my modem offline. It was back to normal, think it was the IP reset.

CW's web support chat thingy doesn't seem to be working. No one's responding on any support channels.

Yeah internet shoddy tonight. Can't even stream 480p youtube vids without buffering on a 20Mbps line....

Same in PE.

Netflix Iffy, OffsideStreams buffering, in general , CW showing that they are just like every other ISP in this country when it comes around to surviving times of peak demand when your brand becomes popular.

The price of success I suppose.

Was hoping it would turn out differently.

Oh well.

When you are only supplying 20% of my line capacity (200kbs) but accepting 100% of the home capped 120gb subscription on a 10mb line then I require either a more detailed response with timelines or a discount on the subscription or an option to cancel immediately. You are selling a service you are not delivering on and I am being expected to just be patient. Doesn't work like that in afraid.

Up vote.

we've received an update that the upgrades for Cape Town (and those of us in the Eastern Cape) and the news is good - things remain on track
- On seeing an email on the upgrade had received I was about to cry after today's perfect storm of problems.

The Johannesburg capacity is well balanced but there seems to be issues with a set of customers in Mpumalanga which is being looked into.

From what I'm seeing on my systems, You definitely got your moneys worth and way more last month, and you seem to be doing so far this month as well too.

Good to hear you're attending to Mpumalanga, keep us updated please

I'll soon be looking for a new ISP...

Which product are you using and what was your approximate data usage last month?
