I must say streaming over the weekend was an utter mess - Please please please get this sorted out ASAP!! I am based in Cape Town!!

Had to resort to a WA capped account to watch sport this weekend - could barely get the stream running on my CW Uncapped Premium account.

I know this is largely out of their control, but I wish there were more solid deadlines on when this will get resolved because I'm pretty damn sure that I won't be getting a discount for my underperforming account. My hope is that this IPC upgrade is sufficient enough to maintain the expected level of service.

I was watching the GP on BBC sport: 5 secs video, 10 secs buffering, watched on SS via android app, 10 secs video, 5 secs buffer...I'm starting to get the moer in this happening all the time...
 
It sucks for us here in CPT and we all know the reason.

Unfortunately, it is not as easy as flicking a switch and it is somewhat out of CW's hands.

For those that have been with CW a while, they know about streaming being their top priority protocol. Things will most definitely get better, they just need to wait on IS to come to the party, which will be Soon™.
 
I had no issues... (as usual).... I must be the only one in Cape Town that is streaming in HD without any problems at the moment .... maybe I am taking all the bandwidth..... :whistle:
 
Depends on the type of account I suppose.

I don't stream, but I do game and my latency has been awesome as always.

Youtube still comes down at full line speed for me as well.
 
I do think the account type makes a big difference.

On home capped and streaming during peak time was pretty damn bad the weekend. Go figure. Gaming was aces though.

Tick damn tock CW. 4 days and counting down...
 
Afternoon Guys,

The current ETA has changed to the end of this week due to a delay by one of the companies directly involved with Allocating the extra IPC to our Upstream provider.

We will keep you updated as and when we receive updates.

Beep! Wrong answer to start a Monday on. So considering some Cape work habits, sometime next week then.

Anything we can do to help? Maybe a bit of toi-toi here and there? Burn a few tyres and dance all day long? Would that help?

This **** poor streaming performance before 17:00.

Can a CW spokesman please confirm this will be a thing of the past with the new IPC capacity going live please?

I think I read that they are expecting two upgrades for CPT, but I hope performance isn't reliant on the 2nd upgrade as that is probably months away.

Either the upgrade fixes the issue or my patience runs out and I move on. Was given test accounts for both Openweb and Cybersmart and can confirm that their home capped accounts are working just dandy eg YT 480p max on CW and easily 1080p on OW and CS on my 10mb line.

WWDC streaming fine without issues at the moment. Well the pre-stream while all the nerds are getting their 4 minutes of fame on TV.
