Agree on both counts. United looked very sluggish and just didn't have that sweet passing they have become so famous for. Also, the closing down was pretty pathetic tbh. Then again, so long as you win - it really doesn't matter how.

what did you think of Foster's performance? Aside from the stupidity that cost you a goal? I reckon he was decent - not brilliant, but far from Calamity James or, God forbid, Lehmann...

Ya, that's just the thing- apart from the goal he looked solid. But the goal was a bad one to concede. Three defenders and a keeper in the box, and only one attacker. :(

I'm not trying to play down Man United here but if they do win the League then it will probably be the first time that they won it without even playing well the entire season. It's scary if you think of it.

I'm being honest here, I know they will deserve it but really, did they ever the entire season perform brilliantly, I don't think so. They were always just average but picking up many 1-0's because their defense was near perfect most of the season.

i agree with you on that ,i actually think we played prolly the best football of the top 4 ,now i know people always say that arsenal play the most attractive football ,however i dont think that applies to this season ,they have been awefull at times and havent played with their famous 1/2 touch pass and move that we have grown accustomed to

Dude, if you're talking about bad 'keepers, PLEASE let's not forget the disaster that was Fabien Barthez.

Apples and Oranges. A poor man is crazy, a rich man is eccentric. Barthez was eccentric. :D

Barthez was off his rocker.. I remember him throwing the ball to Arsenal players in two consecutive games against them. How clever is that, when people in the team include Pires, Henry and Bergkamp, all of whom are in form? Throw in the fact that the second game was for the title, and eish, I'm surprised AF didn't kill him.

He should have a wax statue in Madame Toussade's... clutching Vaseline noggals.

I would have to agree that this has been one of our most average seasons for some time and yet we could end up winning the most trophies ever!

Instead of great attacking displays which we are normally used to, this season has been all about the defence.

I don't think we have been as bad as never playing well at all. Just not as often as we usually do.

Like what I said in the Boring Boring arsenal thread... United are starting to look like George Graham's Arsenal (Famous Five at the back and Ian Wright up front)...
