Hmm, anyone figured out how to get the "..." menu button in apps? I can't seem to find it or a setting for it.

Apps are different though. For Telegram there is no "..." button. Also, remember, light press on the physical button at the bottom of the phone acts like a "back" key. Pressing it hard closes the app and takes you to the home screen.

Yea, I figured that out. ;)

Problem for me is with the sharenet app.. On my old phone it has the 3 dot menu which gives options like adding something to my watchlist, now the 3 dot menu just isn't there, and no means (that I've figured out) to get the options it had..

Apart from that I'm loving this phone though. Sooo much faster than my old one. :D

Seems from reading the comments on the sharenet app other people are having the same problem..

I solved it by installing QuickStocks instead, same basic functionality, looks a bit nicer though so that's a plus. :p

Finally got my device from China.... 1 month and a few days. Paid R2100 for it on Aliexpress and SARS did not even bother to inspect the item and slapped a SAPO local tracking details on it and send it off. So I collected it today at the post office with no duties attached.... :)

I got the Chinese version but looks no different from the international version. Even looks like the same software is installed. Going to play around with it a bit to see how it is. Fitted my tempered glass protector too. :)

Found this very cool site too that offers change logs in English and the lastest firmware updates too if you want to manually update your device. :)

Yeah but a one click app available on the net or the app centre sorts that out in a jiffy! That or you can just install the international firmware from meizufans.eu

Not sure if the international firmware is the same but the Chinese version kills apps after 3 min of screen off.

To bypass this you need to add the apps you want to keep alive like your instant messengers and weather widgets and stuff like to the ban list.

Open the security app and click on power status and then on the 4 blocks on the bottom. There you can slide which apps does not get killed.

Mine doesn't seem to have that in the security app.. What it does have though is a feature to ban apps from auto-launching, which I find really awesome. I always used to get pissed off with random games or other apps that would just constantly start themselves and annoy me with irritating popup messages and stuff. An auto kill like that would actually be quite nice.

I also found a neat setting in the traffic manager app that lets me block individual apps from having internet access.. Really great for stopping stupid video adds on some games. :D
I imagine some of these might just be Android 5 features and not necessarily FlyMe specific.

Might just be the Generic firmware(Chinese) that has this setting. Only minor differences from the International Version and Chinese version it seems. I like the Chinese version as the Music app has unlimited free music streaming included. It's like Deezer and Simfy except it's free. Streams from a Chinese servers so can be slow but I see MTN LTE is not too slow to the Chinese servers so that is cool.

Tested LTE for MTN,Vodacom and Telkom and all works fine on my Chinese version of the M2 Note. Wonder why all the phones can't just have these radios in the devices because it is really awesome actually.

I actually ditched my LG G4 for my M2 Note. It is a really awesome device.

I agree. All manufacturers should force the chip makers to include all available GSM/3G/LTE including TD and FD LTE on their chips.

The default SMS app that comes with the Meizu seems to have a bug where you blacklist a number, but every now and then it wont actually black it and you get notified and it sits in your inbox instead of the "filtered" box. I solved this by installing the Google Messenger SMS app, but on the Meizu this one gives a "preferred sim not set", so you can only receive SMS's not send them. Have now switched to GO SMS Pro

Apps to try with your Meizu m2 Note. Loving these apps, maybe y'all might like them too.

* Textra - For SMS, very clean and sleek. Easily customisable.
* Nova Launcher - Enough said, give the phone a Stock Android feel.
* AcDisplay - Instead of stock lockscreen. Great app, no security though, doesn't have pin-lock.
* Snaplock - If you want the security of a Pin or Pattern.
* Drupe - Dialer, beats the stock dialer by miles, and its very nifty.
* Floatify - Gives you the Lollipop notification drop down and you can reply from that instead of opening the app.
* Zedge - For plenty wallpapers, rightones, Live wallpapers, for free.
* Timeline - For an awesome weather app and widget.
* OperaMax - for the Data savers. Really works.
* Fleksy - The best keyboard EVER!
* Google Fit - For a step counter, a'la Pedometer.

And you gotta play around the Google app, voice search an all, and its very quick, not as sleek and saucy as Siri but it can get the job done.

a month and a half later i'm still waiting for accessories I ordered on eBay, screen protector and covers. I wish these were easier to find.

PS : The built-in gesture settings are awesome. you must activate this.

Double Tap to wake up phone with no buttons.
Also slide finger across screen when music app is on to skip track without waking the phone.

On the custom launcher, any issues with persistence? Like if you reboot, do you have to choose the launcher app as your preferred launcher again?

Awesome stuff. Thanks for the Fleksy recommendation! Looks awesome going to try it out now! :D Also going to activate the gesture settings now.

Loving my Meizu M2 Note more than my G4. The G4 is not performing they way this phone is and it has 1GB more RAM.....

I tried Textra but the problem I had with it was that yes you can block numbers, but I could not find where to go to the "filter box" to see what was filtered and read the messages. See our system sends me a token when I need to log in, but it also sends loads of other messages that I dont need, so I need to filter these SMS's based on the number it comes from, but I also still need to be able to read the messages with my tokens in it. GO SMS Pro seems to fit me better.

Do you think we will get Marshmallow?

I hope so, will we feel it though?

Most of these Android OS updates are better felt with Stock phones like your Nexus, once it gets to other brands + their own "skin" you can recognize Lollipop from Lollipop, for example Sony, the amount of add on's they put over Android OS is terrible, Samsung too.

and now us now with Meizu and its Flyme.
