So after waiting for about 2months to get a screen protector and covers.....the ebay people say they'll resend them again because clearly they have not arrived. I checked the Raru store and they have the accessories at very expensive prices and they deliver in 15-30 days.

So last night, phone on the Kitchen counter, and the next thing phone on the tiled floor, screen shattered. Phone fully functional buy screen shattered...like my soul. Sandly my Meizu is no more, i can't use it like that and I can't even repair it.

Anyway, I have 3k to spend on Friday for a new phone? any suggestions? any trust worthy online store I can buy at for a new phone? I've seen the UMI Iron, the Elephone M1 or M2, or maybe just get the Meizu M2 Note again.

Suggestions?

Android - 2 steps forward, 1 step back.
Every bloody time.
Heh, I've not really experienced a lot of iteration, my first Android phone ran Gingerbread, then I went from that to my Jellybean phone and now the Meizu with lollipop (had a non android phone between the first two) so it's been pretty different each time.

Ah man that really sucks :( guess I was lucky when mine survived a drop. I've since picked up a slightly too large cover (probably for a Samsung) which sorta works.

Personally if I broke/lost this phone I'd get the same one again as I'm really happy with it overall..

Yeah but your Gingerbread knew a few tricks that have since been forgotten. Especially because it's before the days ICS tried to put Sandisk out of business.

Yea I have very little memory of that phone.. It was a Sony Xperia X10 mini pro, really loved that phone but it was stolen when I'd only had it a few months.. Come to think of it I'm not even entirely sure it ran Gingerbread..

Had a weird issue with the Play Store not being able to authenticate my Google account. Not a phone issue since Google tells me it happens across different phones...but first time it's happened to me with this phone and so soon after that update :erm:

Had to reset my phone which is a schlep.

No that was due to the firmware update. I also could not get into my Google Play store and I think Google services also stopped working. Had to do a reset and then everything was fine again.

Dropped Meizu m2 Note.

Well they just announced the Meizu Metal, which is basically the M2 Note with Metal and a Fingerprint scanner @ $200 for the 16gig. I'm tempted to pre-order this one, it would be a slight upgrade.

I also checked on the costs to fix the screen, I can buy the screen replacement kit from Alie Express for about $32 and with DHL express delivery at about $65, and i'd have to find somebody here to do the labor. It could be cheaper than buying a new phone.

So yeah these are the options now.

Anybody ever thought of Insurance for smartphones? is it worth it?

Anyone having keyboard lag? I have tried the system one, swift and go keyboard. Will be working fine, and then suddenly after a while of use they start lagging very very badly. Restart seems to solve it. Did not have this issue before firmware update.

I've Pre-Ordered the Meizu Metal at www.ibuygou.com plus all the accessories, they say it'll be ready to ship in 10days so the wait will be painful especially when I have to keep looking at this shattered the screen.

It will be worth it though, finger print scanner and all.
