Official Meizu M2 Note thread

I see Orange has 15 in stock, but I'm split between this one and the Redmi Note 2. Seems the Remi got a better CPU, but still a lot of reviewers suggest to take the Meizu over the redmi. What's your take?

I really love my Meizu. Have not had a days problem with it. It will also get Flyme 5 soon which they say refines the OS and also gives much better battery performance (though battery life for me is already great). Not sure if it will be updated to Marshmallow however. Time will tell I guess. I use Google Now launcher ontop of Flyme however. Not mad about the Flyme launcher.

Really? I thought it would be very stable seeing that Cyanogen gets almost daily updates and is customized for performance? I have to say, with my Meizu it is very stable. All Apps run as they should

That's surprising.... I'm not getting any updates on Cyanogen. I have to be seriously careful which apps I install - I've had to factory reset my Wileyfox almost 5 times now.

That was just my impression of Cyanogen from what I have read. I have never used it myself. It is a pitty that my understanding of this OS was wrong :(

Meizu m3 note will be unveiled on April 6

The Huawei P9 line isn't the only big smartphone launch from a Chinese company happening on April 6. For whatever reason, Meizu has picked the exact same date to unveil the upcoming m3 note, the successor to the m2 note from last year. Perhaps Meizu wants to steal some of Huawei's thunder or something.

Spec and pricing details for the m3 note have just been leaked mere hours ago. The phone is apparently going to come with a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen, 2GB of RAM, and the MediaTek Helio P10 chipset powering it. That one has a 2 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU and the Mali-T860MP2 GPU. The Meizu m3 note will be kept running by a 3,200 mAh battery.

It will be priced at CNY 799 ($122, €109) with 16GB of built-in storage, and CNY 999 ($153, €137) with double that amount of space. Other details aren't known at this point, but it looks like the major upgrade here compared to the m2 note could be the SoC. The battery got a slight bump too.

I love my M2 Note. I was worried when I started using two sims in it though (my normal voice number in sim one and 2nd Vodacom data contract on 4G) that I am going to suffer terrible battery life. But I am not. If anything, I am getting a little bit more.

Just updated also...does look kinda nifty. cute little animations and stuff...I like the bubbles going into the battery icon when it's charging :)

And there are themes now...didn't notice any before.
