Razr requires microsim like iPhone 4 does - can't use standard sim size.

I know you can get your normal one cut down to size to fit, but I'm not sure how this would affect warranty (Vodacom guy wasn't sure either) and my sim was really old, so I opted for simswap for R63 - I reckoned that was better than risking damage/warranty issues.

So getting one from the service provider isn't a problem?

On the iPhone, first slide to unlock then the keypad comes up for 4 pin passcode.
RAZR is the same, swipe accross to unlock and then security.

Not sure if you swipe for camera if it ask for security...I will test in 15 minutes!

I had a Google Nexus One, when you have the screen unlocal pattern enabled it doesnt show a screen first with the option to select unlock or camera first. You just have the pattern and then you are in the phone.
 
Mine was rather awful to begin with, 3G really nails it, but since I've started using SmartActions to manage it, it's improved, can get two full days
 
Mine is ok. Even after a lot of "new toy" fiddling, the battery was at 40% from a 80% charge.

Love it! Screen took some getting used to, coming from an OG Droid/Milestone.
Performance is super, feels premium and HUGE and camera quality is superb.

Not sure about battery life yet, too busy playing with it all the time:p

oh and about the sim, I couldn't wait for Cell C to get stock, so I chopped up my sim into a microsim and its working perfectly.

What are the pay ins like on Vodacom for this? Can you spread it out over 24 months? I like this phone, but I don't want a very expensive contract, the Everyday Off Peak or Talk 120.

I'm paying Topup 315s + R44 p/m on my contract.

Yeah me too, that's why I took the deal. According to Vodacom sales guy it's a marketing ploy, almost every contract you pay that on. I originally wanted the Samsung GS2, but they wanted to charge me R2000+ payin with no chance of spreading it over contract.

That is why I linked the XDA section, I did not expect it to be 100% but I can assure you the devs are having a field day right about now and should have a proper ROM in no time, well at least faster than OTA hitting SA :)
