Hi. Does anyone have the website URL for the EU Jellybean update on Motorola's site. Can't seem to find....
 
I know this has probably been asked before, so apologies. I really want JB on my Razr, and although I've used Android phones quite a lot, I've never flashed to a new OS before. Could one of you guys maybe explain how I should approach getting JB on my phone. It's the stock ICS that got pushed by Vodacom.

If its vodacom sa, then flash xt910europe fastboot file.
flash using rsdlite
 
So I don't need any other things, I can go straight from ICS to JB by using that? Could you maybe provide a link? There are so many versions for download. Is it the EU retail version?
 
I did the update, worked perfectly. Jelly Bean definitely seems a bit more snappy the ICS was. One annoying thing that I have found is that Swype doesn't seem to work properly with web browsers. In all the other apps it works as you'd expect it to, letting you manually add a word to the dictionary etc. With browsers, as soon as you type in a text field things go wrong. The option to add to dictionary comes up and disappears immediately, and it repeatedly adds the same words over and over as you back space one out. Definitely not normal.

Edit: In case anyone else finds this issue, it seems to be Google Chrome related. The BETA version works, so the regular version will probably be updated soon.

I'm running CM 10 on mine, certainly snappier, couple of glitches from time to time though, but acceptable for the speed increases
 
What is the best Custom ROM to install. CM 10.1 is ok but I can't remember what I didn't like about it. I have tried Slimbean, Paranoid Android, Carbon ROM, Pacman and some others but there always seems to be some issue from force closes to signal loss or some issue that makes me go back to the Stock ROM. Anyone got a ROM they really happy with?
 
cm 10.1 for me. Im enjoying it so far. Not 100% stable, but good enough. I get bored with os's quite easily, so staying on jelly bean 4.1 isn't an option :)

10.2 is out which is JB 4.3 based. Just finished downloading it. Going to see how this one goes.:whistle:
 
hehe my fully 'stable' 10.1.3 even has issues - but it works to my satisfaction - the last nightly I used had reboot issues and wifi problems so I'll wait for full 10.2 :D

That said, it's time to get a new phone, 2 years is almost up - don't wanna say goodbye to this but it's beginning to show it's age a bit (but with JB on, nowhere near what it should!)
