Dude he scored plenty of tries against SA opponents. He's a good local Curry Cup player, but that does not make him a ****ing test player. My word, can't people understand this. he's terrible on defense and relies too much on the up and under luck of the draw which doesn't happen very often in test matches. Get him off the park, he's way out of his league.
 
We did very well, apart from having no defense in the beginning, not bad for our B team.

I love the commentator tunes ruan will pass even if he has to pass forward :D. I find it sad you guys are saying so many people are useless. This team is not exactly our best and it is not easy to shine when you are playing in a second rate team.
 
When was scoring tries not a big deal?

It's like wanting to drop ronaldo just because he scored 55 goals in a season and he is out of his league in the portugal team :D. Give bosson the chance and he will blitz a few tries but you need to give him the chance.

Come on now that is ridiculous.

My point is he is not that good...it's just 'cause where he was that he scored, not that he is some 'amazing' player who makes breaks to score tries. Look at how Zac G and Corey Jane score tries - they make breaks etc. Anyway, if I remember correctly he scored a hat-trick against a very weak Rebels or Cheetahs team.

Also dal2000 - I agree with you - his defence is non-existant. That was my point in my original post - he's only there due to his high number of tries scored. People just look at that statistic rather than how the tries were scored...I'd rather have a player score 3 amazing tries than 9 tries where the winger was gifted a try when 1m out.

Defense is a major issue, something Basson doesn't have. Again, he scored all those tries in the Curry Cup against local opposition.

No they don't, they are given the ball in good positions that allow them to break. It is very easy to break when your team is giving you the chance. When your team is not running and giving you slow ball HTF are you suppose to make a break? Running rugby makes breaks, slow kicking rugby means you get no breaks.

Perhaps you don't understand how a break is made chris.

He's had a single season playing for the Bulls who think wings are a light snack before main course.

He's not the most agressive tackler in the SA back line but he's not the worst either and he wasn't the one missing tackles on Corrie tonight either. Where was your man Lwazi??

Try saving tackle from Basson on Mills!!! Not bad for a wing who can't tackle. Carter too much space, loose forwards too slow...

This is shocking.

Pavan if you went into this weekend thinking we have a chance no wonder your weekend is ruined. Let's just hope it's not 50+
