OnePlus 7

I also couldn't find any info. Regardless, that 90hz screen has me sold.

Same, but then the non-US pricing unsold me.

$900 in the UK and $850 in Europe. Assuming this is how their products are priced going forward, I think this is where I get off the OnePlus train. At this point I'm better off with Huawei or Samsung and a local warranty.

A real pity - I've been with OnePlus since two weeks after the OnePlus One released.

Why not import from OP US?

Oh wow. I realised a few min ago that my mom is going to be in Paris on the day that there is a OnePlus pop-up store in Paris to celebrate the OP7 Pro launch.

Jesus I'm pissed off with the bulls**t pricing in Europe. This should have been a super convenient impulse buy. For R12k I'll probably pass on the opportunity.

Who made the 90hz panel? Samsung?

Yes. OnePlus uses Samsung made OLED panels.

The OnePlus 7 Pro packs the best display that OnePlus has ever put on a smartphone. The OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 6, and OnePlus 6T all had Samsung-made “Optic AMOLED” displays running at 60Hz at 1080p resolution. The new OnePlus 7 Pro has what the company is calling a “Fluid AMOLED” display running at either 60Hz or 90Hz and at either 1080p or 1440p resolution. QHD AMOLED displays are already a rarity apart from the flagship Samsung Galaxy series, but the inclusion of a display capable of running at a 90Hz refresh rate is truly remarkable. The OnePlus 7 Pro is the first smartphone sold outside of China with such a display.

This phone launched a week too late for me. My 3T died 2 weeks back (careless drop) and I was eagerly awaiting this launch.
Went without a phone for a week, was hoping to last two but ended up giving in last weekend. As I would have to wait for the launch and then again for delivery.

I ended up buying a p30 pro. I much prefer the OnePlus take on android and lack of bloatware. On the flip side the cost of these phones have gone really high and while I'm normally happy with the risk, a local warranty is comforting at this price point. I try to hang on to my phones as long as possible but would look to OnePlus again when upgrading.

The 7 pro looks real good, would have preferred that as my upgrade.

I did not know that, now I do.
Who honours the warranty then? Is there a local presence now?

They must not have any OnePlus in stock so couldn't gauge pricing.
Must be sold out, they had it listed two weeks ago. See they still list the charger etc.

128 GB 8 GB 6T was R12k.

I got mine last year from https://smartphoneshop.co.za/ with local warranty.

I was a bit underwhelmed by its performance in the speed test against the S10, in particular in the rendering category. With UFS 3.0 I was expecting it to blow through the rendering. The Sammy was actually quicker. That's disappointing.
