Shaping only applied when the network is busy. We unshape you completely during other times (+- 60% of any given month is unshaped).

Well of course its fine after 7pm thats when they stop the throttling or whatever it is they or IS do.
I know why I never wanted to go back to IS. They are the biggest bunch of thieves.

My OW account is dead now. RIP :( I'm using my Afrihost free 1gb account now.

Seem to be experiencing same thing myself - browsing is very slow and is often timing out. Hopefully it's just hiccups caused by the start of the new business year.

Yeah but you can't blame them for postponing it deliberately to reply after the shaping is gone, you can only blame horrible customer service :D

Shame my 1gb free is almost up :( Seems I will have to topup... :mad: Whats that on top of the overpriced gold price I am paying anyways :sick:
 
Hehe unlucky buggers... my port reset seems to have helped, for the moment things are fine although I might have just jinxed it.
 
geez been a while since he replied. that 1GB free afrihost account is a bit of a con. its 1GB unshaped so of course its gonna be nice and fast. if it was slow then people using it wont switch permanently to afrihost. so comparing a shaped uncapped to unshaped capped is a bit unfair.

DJ how does your capped account perform during office hours?

but so is shaping everything to death during the day. if I was at home i would be insane with frustration. I wonder why its going on? all quiet from beepy.
 
say something OW, iuts been 5 hours i have gotten nowhere, even minimal work done.

Perfectly, when I'm not experiencing exchange congestion which I confirm with a tracert. But that's why I'm so quiet in here these days. The capped account is awesome...

officially cancelling my account. i'm not paying for 16kbps from 8-7 and fullspeed the rest.

cannot open facebook, twitter, youtube etc. its absolutely disgusting!!!
