I needed the issue to be addressed on Saturday not Sunday. If you think that's an acceptable response time regardless of weekend/skeleton staff then you have major problems at OW.

You know, people do actually rest at some point.
Patience is a virtue.
What crap service, why don't you goto MWEB bru!

OpenWeb Support;

My line is dead again, international is non existant but local is slow too.

It's been like this all day today.

I've already e-mailed MrBEEP and moaned about it.

Sort this out please before I loose what is left of my plot.

HELP

HELP :)

So heres the question .....

I am on the 4Mbps Gamers Downloaders package. Its great after hours and weekends :D
.... BUT ......
I now need some daily connectivity - and with the shaping, its just not working  ... any slower than dead slow and I would be at dead stop.

So, if I were to go for a 2Mbps package - say Gold, would it REALLY make a difference?

Seems so  Now I'm using my trusty 3G modem. My "Gold" OW account is totally dead now. This is the final straw that broke the extremely exhausted camel. Tomorrow I will be submitting my cancellation form.

Ouch .... guess that answers part of my question about Gold.....

Absolutely no issues here. Can't feel any impact of Seacom outage here in Cape Town. Self limiting my NNTP to 1.5MB/s.

You are an evil man you, but at the same time kudos to you - doubling the "speed" over December period was a great move to show your clients the potential of upgrading their accounts, but now that it's back to normal, I'm contemplating an upgrade.

Decisions, decisions...

Would be interesting to know what you (OpenWeb) have taken away from the so called test and what we as consumers can expect.

Please tell me what's wrong with my Internet connection :( My OW account is unusable! I'm on 3G now. OW tech support is a joke.

My Gold Uncapped performs very reasonably during the day (most of the time, anyway).
Some days things just go wrong, but it's not all that often.

(Not orange, or power, or leon, or any other weird editions... just plain Gold Uncapped)

Why is OW tech support dead? Or is it ignoring me on purpose? So pathetic! My OW account is totally dead. I'm very, very disappointed. I want my money back! I'm threatening to pack up my stuff and move to MWEB thread... just kidding :D Come on!!! Make me love you again, Mr. Beep! Hello! (Waves)

When Seacom went down there was a slight hiccup for about 10 minutes, then back to normal. Well done Openweb.
