So it seems like my account was cancelled even though I sent a request to revoke my cancellation.

Leon is busy working on the account now.
 
Wingnut sorry but i disagree. Every Morning at 8am my uncapped account drops from 430k/s to around 80k/s during the week but my account did exactly the same this morning (Saturday) as with normal week days.

Hi have studied your ticket, as well as tested your account. There is no shaping active currently, anywhere on our network.

Everyone is unshaped as we speak, including your account

Hi MrBeep. Had authentication issues this morning that fixed itself. Now I'm experience slow speed on video streams and basic http browsing. Stuff like newsbins going at full speed if I try that. Same with speed tests. I sent you a pm with account details. Can you please have a look?
 
So I went and change my primary DNS from the cape town unotelly to the Jhb unotelly. It is working much better now. Even the usually very stable netflix was suffering.
 
Hi MrBeep,

I was given a new account by Leon but the new account is only running at 500kbps. SpeedTest starts at 2mbps and then it just drops to an average of 500kbps. Sites like YouTube take long to load and videos constantly buffer.
 
Seems like our friends at Telkom is having some major issues in the Western Cape issue.

Unfortunately they have not admitted it just yet.

We can confirm that the OpenWeb network is running WELL below capacity, and is completely unshaped.

Same issues here in CPT today, streaming and browsing very slow. Pings in BF4 are between 31 and 200 locally.

Yes, I agree it is shaping if it's during the week but you are saying it's happening on a saturday when IS is always unshaped over weekends.

EDIT: Easy way to see if its congestion is to try another ISP like AH free 1GB when you feeling the slowness.

I noticed some "line" issues very briefly this afternoon in my area. Telkom is definitely up to something because my account lost connection for awhile as did my friend (different ISP) and then it came back to normal. I wonder if this focus on congested Exchange's has them scrambling for better load balancing?
 
Are there issues in JHB Sandton area? OPenweb/ Telkom? I can't even browse http?

I signed up for a new 2Mbps Gold Uncapped (Power) account on the 22nd of Jan. Part of the promotion was that the rest of the month is free and you get debited pro rata at the end of Jan. Anyway, yesterday afternoon, the account was simply unusable and became inactive.

I signed up to be debited every month, it would appear, however, that a debit order wasn't activated for this account. And now I've been disconnected. Please help.
 
my account are also slow cant stream or anything

and my router also went dead today
had to restart to get it back

wonder whats happening :/

There are no general issues. However, with the month end cross over, there are bound to be one or two issues.
