We most likely are being shaped. Will check around 19:00, hopefully the taps have been opened by then.

Yea speeds are VERY slow, will see what happens after 18:00, normally picks up again

100KBps on 6mbps platinum on an torrent but http and https is going full speed for me :) so im fine with that

my browsing speed is much better today. on speed tests i can get 5mbps locally which is more in the acceptable range.

Is this an Openweb problem or is ALL the ISPs giving little through on International Band width?
Or let me rather ask - Can you advise any ISP currently which is not suffering with international bandwidth - Using Google Docs has become a nightmare - was better on 3 years ago on 384k than on current 2mb - Our Clients and we are suffering!

Create a new thread & post way detailed info. I don't think this is the appropriate place...

Is any one still having issues with NNTP downloads tonight?

Thanks

Checked mine this afternoon and I was getting < 5kB/s. Currently getting between 120 and 200 kB/s which is not bad, but I usually get over 200kB/s sustained after hours on my 2Mb line. Something is definitely not well.

This is not normal, as not even shaping will reduce you to these levels.

Please PM me your details so that I can take a look

I am. Only getting 60kbps local and 38kbps international on a 4MB Gold. Not cool at all.

Please remember, torrents get the lowest priority on the network, thus if the network is busy, even after hours, it will be shaped.

Shaping is calculated independently for each region, right? My torrents are running full speed at present.

Currently it is broken up into two regions.

Western Cape / Eastern Cape and the rest of the country.

Basically, it depends on how busy the region you fall in is at any given time :)
