Are there any other folks in Stellenbosch having an issue currently? If we can find a similarity, we can contact Telkom and have them monitor the exchange.

Do you know of an exchange problem in the Stellenbosch area as according to my complaint to [email protected] the account is supposed to be fine? Also, if the account is fine why would the speeds be so abysmal during the day?

Just signed up for a Gold account coming from Mweb. For the first time in weeks my news server max out the line. Browsing is snappy, Youtube stream 320p without buffering (1meg line) I can not believe i put up with that crap for so long. Thank you Openweb for opening my eye's.

Nice. I plan to leave MWEB for a better ISP. Looks like OPENWEB is where I should call my new home :D
 
MrBeep - how aggressive is shaping at the moment ? At this point in time.

hahaha thats what happens when an HDD decides to give in = redownload everything in 1080p and 720p
 
Streaming from Twitch at 720p, and streaming a youtube vid at 1080p, at the same time :) Thats more like it !!!

Not sure what happened last night lol.
 
My Battlefield 3 pings have been pretty bad recently. International servers that pinged in the 180s and 190s are now all over 200ms. Just me?
 
Woot! Got a GOLD UNCAPPED account now! That was insanely quick :D Thanks OPENWEB. Now I need to cancel my all inclusive MWEB account and upgrade my line to 2mbit after having it migrated back to TELKOM before I can use my new OPENWEB account.

I have email promblems and knows that they don't support email problems, must sort it out myself.
 
Hi someone........!!!

Can u assist me with openweb email settings. I tried now Outlook and Thunderbird. The smtp.openweb.co.za gives me error when sending. I disabled my virus, rebooted the router, switched it off for 30 min.........it just don't send email. It receives pop3 yes, but no outgoing!!!!!!! What else is there to do???

smtp.openweb.co.za:(setting in Outlook 2013).....error as follows...
"on 5/22/2013 10:05 PM
503 valid RCPT command must precede DATA"

In thunderbird with setting smtp.openweb.co.za it says"error timed out, cannot connect to server, try again later"--well, it is two days later now...heheheh
