Higher priority on games 24/7 and downloads afterhours.
You get a better contention ratio overall.

I believe that Gamer's King is a mix between their old Silver and Gold accounts, but don't take my word for it.
 
the more u pay the better the connection ratio is

and the more stable it will be,and it got a higher priority on there server
eg. torrents will run better on that acc than on everday

even on unsharp weekends the gamers will still have higer priority over the everyday

I have provided feedback regarding this earlier in the thread.

We will not automatically be upgrading folks, as this means we too have to increase the contention ratios. Our clients have chosen to not have this happen.

We have brought out a matching product that mathches the high contention ratio of our competitors:

We would however suggest you rather keep your current service level, as the cheaper packages that have surfaced cannot match the great service levels offered for only a few rands more.

Apologies for missing the original response, thanks for reiterating.

It does bear mentioning that the difference between 4mb and 10mb GKDB is R200. Slightly more than "a few rands" in my book ;)

I'm a little apprehensive of these line upgrades to tell the truth.

I happily joined the telkom 12month contract and pushed the savings into a higher OW account, but not everyone is willing to spend more.

What I'm scared of is that now everyone gets a "everyday" account and start pushing it to the max and the exchanges, not isp's, gets hammered to such a extent that a better account won't matter.... the only winner in the end of the day, the ISP that can sell their crap accounts for the cheapest.

Telkom should have halved the IPC costs to ISP's not effectively halve the line cost. In the back of my mind, Telkom is sidestepping the LocalLoopUnbunding issues, but I could be wrong.
 
Watch this space.... Will MrBeep unshape or not.... Eagerly waiting for the verdict :)
 
I've always noticed MrBeep always announces if there will be an unshaped weekend. I know at night there is no shaping but on the weekend there is isn't there, unless its an unshaped weekend :)
