Which ISP you moving to?

Not sure yet. Will be afrihost or Telkom. So capped or uncapped. Capped for my streaming needs and telkom's price is just crazy. I don't do bulk downloading anymore. Need a connection that works when I need it to. Streaming really important at the moment so capped looks attractive.

The difference between an everyday and a decent account here is to big for me at the moment. It pi$$es me off that I have to cancel but ja limited options currently here.

The always efficient Leon sorted me out.

I agree, the option is really limited due to pricing.

Before I change to Gamer's 4mb, I consider other ISP offering also.

Is hard to find a good ISP now days. ai...

4mb Gold Uncapped is feeling like dial up today, and no im now downloading anything, only do that after hours

Very slow here, Silver uncapped. I"m getting 6Kbps speeds on local FTP and browsing (even Google searches) extremely slow.

Weekend was full speed, in fact at 8:30 this morning was still full speed - then soon as shaping kicked in everything grinds to a halt. I can accept shaping needs to happen during the day, but 6Kbps is not acceptable when I need something for work urgently.

2mb gamers King account , not downloading trying to open the in game store and getting 10kb , dialup would be faster and got this so gaming would be awesome , but dropped my cancelation today , man did it take long to open Gmail.

Shaping is currently active as it seems like all and sundry have decided to run their torrents today.

Unfortunately, until these clear, peak time shaping will be tight,.

Streaming is at 144p even on Gold :/

MrBEEP, any way to shape the torrents to nill to loosen up bandwidth? They shouldn't be torrenting during the day anyway.

Hi all.

Got my uncapped adsl a month ago with another isp, and thus far have been severely disappointed with service. How is Openweb with spped and support? I am looking at 2mb everyday uncapped for starters.

I can't tell you what the service for the Everyday Uncapped is like, all I know is that Everyday Uncapped is an inferior product to Openweb's Standard Uncapped. I'm not sure how it compares to their Vanilla Uncapped though.

As for support, during the week it's really good. Over weekends (or more specifically, Sundays) support seems to be virtually nonexistant.

EDIT: I see there's no such thing as Vanilla and Standard Uncapped anymore. I'm still pretty sure Everyday Ucapped falls somewhere inbetween the two.

At the dial up speeds im getting i cant even load gmail. MrBEEP FIX YOUR SERVICE TO US!!!

Indeed. The point of shaping is to keep a usable overall service, not have everyone's connection unusable for daily access. While this isn't a common occurrence, it can be improved.

The best and most effective way(imo), is to ask MrBEEP for a trial account and test it out yourself :)

Trying to open my gmail inbox on a 10mbps Gold Leon account.

Not going higher than 50KB/s. On a 10mb line. No exchange problems as obvious from the traceroute.
