As the clock ticks over in to December, I mourn the inevitable loss of a month of bliss

MrBeep kindly offered me a 2MB Gold Uncapped trial account for the month of November to try regain me as a customer. I feel it is only fair to offer up my thoughts in public for anyone reading this thread.
I am an online gamer and a somewhat heavy downloader. My demands are quite heavy on the account and as such I keep a very keen eye on latencies and throughput. Let me just say that I am extremely impressed with the quality of the Gold Uncapped account. Latencies were almost never an issue in GW2 (my main love at the moment) and I had very few "disconnect" issues, which were more attributed to the actual game servers themselves during massive events. Battlefield 3 also got a look in and I was quite happy with the local latencies as well.
My biggest demand though was on NNTP downloads, which ran at pretty much full steam whenever I had them running. Openweb news server is ace! Even on the occasional torrent (not a huge torrent guy but it fills the gap on certain things) it pretty much blasted through it.
Due to financial constraints I won't be able to rejoin Openweb at this time on that particular package but it has seriously made me rethink my options and especially about MWEB who seem to love doing the blanket denial of "nothing is wrong" when there clearly are massive problems happening with them. They may very well lose me as a customer in the coming months. If you look through my posts, you will see I have been an MWEB fan for about a year and I can understand that sometimes there will be problems. What I cannot stand is watching the massive complaint thread grow at a rapid rate every day whilst MWEB bury their heads in the sand.
MrBEEP has always been an outstanding CEO and I can see that he tries really hard to impress. I am certainly impressed after this past month. Being in a position to recommend Openweb to clients from the place that I work at, I will certainly be doing so. I shall see how this next month goes, probably to fire off a cancellation letter to MWEB ^.^
