MrBEEP, I signed up for a silver uncapped account (8mbps) on the special. My friend and I can connect and download concurrently, but he is having serious issues with his internet. See here for his speedtest results (note: line is syncing at 10mbps, and other accounts aren't giving problems). I am currently not experiencing these issues. He is situated in the CBD of cape town. Any idea what's going on? Not exactly a great first impression! (openweb username is accomrie)

According to the website only 1 connection is allowed on this package. That might be the problem?

Im also having latency and speed issues at the moment

MrBeep, whatever you or your techies did in the last 12 hours, DONT CHANGE IT.

I'm getting 340kB/s on an off port from an international server... ON ONE THREAD - AMAZING!

Sent an email for support, Im still having high latency and poor speeds. It does look like a telkom problem though.

Had the same issue last night. I actually only joined Openweb yesterday. Downloaded was fine, but browsing was a bit "choppy". Hopefully it will improve today.

Hi CrazyPeanut,

Please set the DNS in your router to:

Primary DNS: 168.210.2.2
Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

Please try again and provide feedback

Eish, youtube is crawling for me this afternoon :( switched to telkom account and it's playing 720p smoothly, but on openweb account it's buffering for ages on 240p

Hey Friends,

We have received notice from our upstream provider that there are issues on the International Link.

We will post more information as soon as it becomes available

Thanks a lot MrBeep, was just about to make a post asking if there are any issues, because my international connectivity is extremely slow :(

Bad week for internet for me, first telkom having problems in the area and now when that has been fixed Seacom decides to act up as well.
