Openweb uncapped ADSL feedback

Having the same problem, it seems to happen between 2 and 6pm for me on dsl heaven. I have just requested to be moved to IS as VB is not available at the moment.

My DSLHeaven (WebAfrica) account is also nothing to write home about at the moment. My download average over the last 4 days from filehosting sites has only been 7 KB/s. Quite shocking for a 1MB Gold account. Seems some serious throttling is happening.

Youtube performance is pretty bad and normal download speeds are also nothing special (60 KB/s).

Lucky you. DSLheaven was also flying for me at the beginning of the month but now it's pretty bad.
Gonna reset my router and see if anything changes. If not, I'll be contacting MrBeep.
 
Still running below 160KBps on 4mbps uncapped gold. Anyone else still have slow speeds?
 
I am, not gold though but definitely a network problem on DSLHeaven, speedtest to Rosebank Saix 0.3mbps, MTN Business 1.87mbps.
 
4.1Mbps download to MTN Business using DSLHeaven. More than likely an exchange fault on your side

Acceptable Download Rate

In your opinion, what average percentage of full line speed would be deemed as an acceptable download rate on a Gold uncapped account, after hours over the weekend, using the NNTP protocol with a professional provider like Astraweb?

I'm just trying to see whether my expectations fall within the "normal" range. ;)

though i don't do 24/7, my general experience is that at any point over the weekend full line speed should be achievable when there are no backbone issues.
 
also having some problems, net is very slow this weekend!, some sites won't load...

That would depend on which provider you are using?




Note wrt web browsing....
Mweb has an outage on their hosted sites. Rebeltech is hosted at Mweb.
