Openweb uncapped ADSL feedback

I got a reply from Keoma:

"There is currently a fault on the Telkom backbone affecting speeds.

Engineers are attending"

So, at least we know they are looking at the issue :)

Mine is now 12 hours later without reply...btw, that seems like the std message they always send out. My line improved again after 6. That is throttling. Perhaps they oversold and are getting throttled

As asked earlier, my downloads for Mar so far is about 25GB
 
Openweb uncapped 10mb after hours account definitely being throttled on downloads to 20k, normal browsing ok sent mail to mrbeep awaiting response, telkom account running at full speed 890k so its not a "Telkom issue"
 
Seems to be an IS issue, OW after hours uncapped and Afrihost capped account is stuffed, Cybersmart account running close to 100%...
 
While I have all the 10mbps uncapped people here.

Is this shaping a general occurrence, or has the 10mbps after hours account been good to you guys?

It's not shaped or throttled at all. Downtime like tonight's is the exception to the rule.

Performance can vary at times but generally you should get around 70%-100% line speed 7pm-7am and all weekend...
 
I have been using the after hours 10Mbps account going on 4 months now and this is only the second time that the speeds are suffering to such an extent as tonight. Normally come 7pm and i get full line speeds on my you tube, itunes and other http downloads. So far have had nothing to really complain about and this has been the best dsl package I have ever been on so far.
Just hope the issue tonight gets resolved soon. Have a new iOS update to download as well as the new Adobe Lightroom 4. (Officially bought)
 
Yes, I hope it does get resolved tonight. I bought a number of Android games on the Google Play sale :D, and was hoping to get them downloaded tonight before the weekend starts.
 
Meh, web pages timing out for me on DSL-H at the moment :(

i dont think so.. snails pace internet today on BCSNet, not as kak as my DSL Heaven experience though.
 
how is this openweb gold account. Looking for a 4mb uncapped cause MWEB is giving me crap lately
 
Fault still unresolved? News still flies at 90% speed, pings are unchanged. But major packet loss on teamspeak, voip and skype.
