Openweb uncapped ADSL feedback

Tell me guys i have gone from uncapped webafrica backbone to 100gb IS and it sucks for gaming and during the day it's not usable

Why is that? :( have i just been given an is uncapped account or what?

I cannot measure packet loss and i kept getting kick from bf 3. Today i could not even run speedtest. It was fine by 6 but still no gaming on bf 3.

I thought a capped account would work better but it seems this is not a 100gb account or is it?

@mynetwork.co.za is what i got, from reading a bit it seems like an uncapped account. This mynetwork thing seems to suck ass big time. All i want is capped account that has no limits like my axxess 4gb using IS

Maybe you missed the question.

People are asking what the diffirence is between the following 2 bakbones

1. IS mynetwork
2. IS
 
I was having all sorts of drama on the IS backbone earlier. Like almost 4000ms pings!

All sorted now though 170 ms :D

I am on Gold Uncapped 2MB/s. Internet really slow today. Youtube buffering most of the time.

There is no significant difference at this stage between the two networks.

There is currently a fault on the BCS network.

Engineers are attending.
 
I beg to differ on there being no diffirence. Been on the my network one since friday and torrents havent gone over 60kb/s (on a 1 meg gold) youtube videos struggle to stream at anything above minimum quality.

Test conducted on 03 July 2012 09:50:20 PM

Download Speed: 298 kbps (37.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 399 kbps (49.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

Latency: 192 ms

Think ill put in a request to go back to the normal IS tomorrow

Mrbeep you are a champ :D. New 100gb account working amazingly.

Surfing, gaming and downloading all on one account.

To my knowledge there still is a fault, I requested a temporary account until the issue is sorted and got the details within 2 hours.

Not disconnecting on WA, but I can't even stream 480p on youtube. When I asked through email to be moved to an IS account, I got this response: "DSLHeaven is currently performing better than IS"

Not to be picky, but BCS isn't working, WA can't stream youtube and I've been told IS is a no go...

One thing I can't figure out, is my cheapo axxess just uncapped 4meg account is giving me a 720p stream of the same videos just fine. What is wrong with the IS network :confused:

I have had a look but do not seem to find a response to your email citing further problems, thus we presume the problem was resolved. I apologise for that!
