Openweb uncapped ADSL feedback

Hello Friends,

We have alerted the engineers to further investigate the streaming issue.

We will provide feedback on the forum once we have more information

Streaming is pretty bad on my account too. Been waiting half an hour for a 6 minute video to buffer, and it's more or less at 1:50 now. Even for a 384 account, this is pretty bad.

Must be a fault somewhere on the IS network.
 
I'm wondering if it's actually a streaming issue at all, or not just a local issue? My videos seem to buffer at normal speed, but if you pause the video, the buffering pauses as well. If I keep the video running, it buffers at a normal rate.

Happens to me aswell but only seems to happen on YouTube any other site works normally.
 
If you change the video quality while it is paused the video will continue buffering.

What do I do now, Talking to your support is like talking in another language as they don't seem to understand my questions?

Update:

Payment went through, I assumed the payment type of "Debit Order" was already ticked, evidently not, this is what caused the runtime error, regards issue 1, I'll await your comment.

MrBeep. I upgraded from 1mb gold to 2mb gold less than a month ago as I thought that was a special price running. Now however I see another special with the 2mb gold packages R60 cheaper. Is there anyway I can benefit with this better offer?
 
My @mynetwork account has been performing poorly, at 30-40% of full speed for an extended period of time, over the past week or so. I can't provide feedback on the previous weeks, as I haven't downloaded much recently, but now that I do have a few things to download, the speed is terrible. I'm also starting to get a little agitated having to switch backbones every time there is a speed issue. I just want something that works, like my original VB account used to before I had authentication problems on it.

Any updates on the streaming? I still cant get anyhting out of bbc.co.uk/news or live youtube streams or even a 240p stream from twitch.tv

The engineers are still working on the issue. In the meantime, can you please mail [email protected] with your MyADSL nickname and ADSL nickname. It will help them troubleshoot quicker

I have checked my line speed on the Telkom adsl line checker and it shows I have been upgraded to 2mb/s. however the new account details given to me still has me synching at 1024. I have sent an email to ceo@openweb with speed tests and the Telkom checker results. Please look into this urgently

Yay 2mb Account on the 1st.

Question: is it possible to "Park an account"? I am moving and do no want to lose my "Gold Special" but by the same token paying full fees while telkom installs new lines sucks.
