I decided to bite the bullet and order fibre. I also decided to log the entire process so that maybe for a future mybb browser it might hold some value.

Area: Moreleta Park. Pretoria
Date: 15 November 2016
Time: 8:03 AM

Ordered my 100mbps fibre on the webafrica webpage, running on telkom infrastructure. My place is covered and obviously they have to just come pull through the line into my place. Recieved order confirmation email from webafrica.

Now waiting patiently for whats next...

Good luck ...

Ordered from WebAfrica (also on Openserve) on 11 Nov and only received the order number. Since then absolutely nothing. Yesterday tried all their channels (Phone, Chat, Support, Twitter and Facebook) and no response whatsoever.

Yeah maskie thats where im at now. Only have order number a d thats it... not to mention a new thread just popped up about them shaping the line speed which completely puts me off. I dont know if i should try and cancel and rather go with someone else or if i should stick it out and hope that the business package i took isnt shaped....

Although WebAfrica map show my area has Fibre and allowed me to order and Openserve map show my area has Fibre and get calls from Telkom on a weekly basis trying to sell me Fibre I get the following message just now from WebAfrica @WebAfricaHelper:
Good day
I hope this email finds you in good spirits.
We did a follow up with Telkom and receive the below feedback.
Your address is not yet on the footprint for Fibre.
Please confirm if I should add you to the waiting list or cancel the order?
Please also inform us if any developments takes place from your side.
I have copied the rest of the Operations team that would be available to assist you.

What a lot of nonsense.

I know there is Fibre in my area since I was there when they digged up the roads and spoke to the people that put it in -- and yes it is Openserve.

I'll be honest, at this point I'm just considering going for another ISP (other than Webafrica). Their support really seems to be lacking.

Will probably cancel the order on Monday and go to ISPAfrika.

If you're lucky enough to live in areas like Sandton then Telkom seems to be very dedicated to serving you quickly. My friend and I both waited a week after order for Openserve to come install Fibre.
