I read somewhere that the Developer Preview will receive updates more frequently.

DP5 is super smooth and UI seems bit better as well... itunes just not working great with my iPhone (kind of annoying) will check later whats going on)

rest seems good to me.

No issues with Parallels 9 for me.

Yeah, I tried P8 and it was a no go, on P9 trial and no problems.

For simple use I'd recommend VB too, but if you're working in your VM all day I find parallels more stable (especially when installing a bunch of dev tools) and the features handy. It's also updated frequently for new osx/windows patches whereas VBox can take a while to get support patched in.

okay guys so DP5 giving me issues.

MBP comes out of sleep then i dont have any input. cant type my password... have to hard shutdown and reboot it before works again...

very worrying for me

I actually had this quite often with Mavericks and my MBP works perfectly on Yosemite, but almost one year on Mavericks with this bug and the MBP has no other issue than this so don't worry !
