In the area that we stay the LTE (Rain) reception was excellent. We converted to fiber and the installation experience was awesome... went from LTE to fiber within 4 days! Fiber speed and connectivity is very stable and so-far-so-good :)
 
I've been with them for a few years now and have never really had any issues
 
Awesome when it's up. Hostage of TT Connect's backbone, and their totally abysmal service ethic and uncontactability unfortunately.
No proactive alerts from either Afrihost or TT Connect when there's an outage
 
Been using for years and while hosting isn't that great, their internet connectivity is good.
 
i get the speed advertised (20Mbs fibre). having an app to check data balances and other account info is nice; in my experience the network alerts are useless: not a single network outage in my area has ever appeared on that status list.

response time to help requests can be slow, and there are several channels. i might use twitter, whatsapp, live chat etc, and then one by one get a response on each channel - these responses are independent of each other. however, the assistance received (after that slow response) is usually excellent and friendly.

there seems to be no help after 8pm! HELP MUST BE AVAILABLE 24/7!!! these days, all media comes through our ISP, all gaming, all connected services. so if my line drops at 20h30 when i am trying to stream my series, what am i to do? when my line drops at a typical gaming time of 22h00, how can i get help?
 
Great service, love being able to tweak my package on a month to month basis. App needs some finessing on the Fibre side - more breakdowns on usage, and the toggle to change packages is a bit jumpy.
 
Minimal downtime. excellent service. notifications sent out when issues on the network
 
looking at all the problems ive had i can't blame afrihost
all problems ive ever had where because of Telkoms bull*****
so 9/10
really good service but telkom ruins them
 
does well - Domain hosting/registration, mobile app is useful
could improve - mobile data pricing
 
Afrihost is generally great. Support staff not too well trained though - could not set up an IMAP email address and eventually had to resort to POP.
 
Been with them many years and never had issues . My trouble tickets were handled swiftly. Value for money no doubt.
 
We are doing a survey on how happy subscribers are with their ISP, and it will be great if you can rate Afrihost based on value-for-money, network quality, support, and general service satisfaction.

Also please tell us what Afrihost does well, and where they can improve, by positing in this thread.
They tick all the necessary boxes for providing customers with what is expected from being a ISP. The service levels are professional and their product selection is extremely competitive in the market place. Excellent company to deal with.
 
Very nice ISP, until you need to get hold of support staff. Afrihost used to have excellent support staff, but lately, there seems to be a lack of real technical people that can deal with your problem.
