Routing it is the best way to go. OLSR will help later when the routes get too hectic, but bridging is generally crappy.

Hi all,

Saol.Com will be happy to sponsor a connection from PMB to DBN and maybe some internet bandwidth too at night as we have tons of free bandwidth at night.

We are always happy to help out the FREE community.

Post here if you are interested in our offer.

Sincerely
Tarquin Douglass

Tarquin - Welcome to MyADSL

Thanks very much for the offer. I think we would like to take you up on your offer.

I'm sure the PMB guys would like the same.

Saol.Com already have a link from DBN to PMB. We cover 80% of PMB and 70% of Durban see http://www.saol.com/wireless.asp.

Will the organisers of DBN and PMB please contact me and we can setup the links, I'll route your IP blocks for you and assign a public IP for DBN and PMB with 1Mbs Internet access shared on the network from 21h:00 - 05h:00 every day.

Tarquinn, not to be inconsiderate or unappreciative, but what is Saol.com wanting in return for this?

I mean, its an awesome offer and defaintely something PMB Wifi mesh and DWC will be grasping with both hands.

Thanks again for this

Nothing, as long as it remains non-profit and I see no abuse, Saol.Com will sponsor.

We will gain popularity and be known as the only ISP that gives something back.

Very nice!

That type of attitude is a good way to build up a nice customer base!

Thank you very much Tarquin. The PMB wifi mesh is still under development, but it'll be going live this weekend (pertaining that the routing works). Your great efforts will be honoured!

Thanks again.

PMB Wifi mesh going live tomorrow around 4PM. Doing the final installations of the Highsite (hopefully we aquire the Highsite we want in Willowton Area which will cover the entire Raisethorpe and Northdale area).

Drop me an email on wifi_dude@nebkom.co.za or PM me with your Street and Area you live in.

Otherwise fire up Kismet tomorrow at around 4PM to see if you can see the www.pawug.za.net SSID floating around the airwaves.

Thanks, keep you guys up to date (with photo's too SetSquare :)).
