Problem: Delayed Billing for Contract Data usage for December 2007

On 155? When was this?

I think on Friday there was a massive number of incoming calls, something like 3 times the normal rate and it resulted in long waits.

At one point more than 80% of calls to 155 were answered within 20 seconds. I'll get the latest stats.

Let me know when this was.

/added/ Just tried now and held on for just under 2 minutes. But probably nothing major is broken at the moment. ;)

Just to avoid misunderstanding
20 Vodacom seconds = 20 minutes
1 Vodacom Day = 1 Week
7 - 10 Vodacom Days = 7-10 months

Except for charging customers, then time is measured in nanoseconds

dhez, the guys are trying to get hold of you.

BTW, I looked at your usage and there are quite a few gigs in Jan and Feb.

I mentioned somewhere in the beginning of the thread to him about someone else using the SIM, becoz he is not the only one that has access to it. Just my ten cents worth.

Vodacom Billing

JUst wondering if anyone has been right and Vodacom wrong at all - especially regarding the delayed billing?

Quite a few have complained (including me and a few guys at work) about getting hit so hard. However, I got a call from someone at Vodacom on Saturday afternoon telling me all data usuage is correct.

I accpeted this and closed the billing case. Was I wrong?

VC promised to credit me for december overcharging - so far, no credit appears on my current statement. Numerous phone calls, e-mails to customer care, pms to V3g - no joy. The bottom line - I've been billed for data I haven't used, not only in december, but in june last year too, and there seems to be nothing I can do about it. The stonewall approach that VC have adopted appears to be working - "There was no problem our end". We are all dummies for allowing ourselves to use up our caps and go into OOB rates. Now we have all learnt our lesson, we will know to be more careful in future. Please slap yourself on the wrist and be good from now on.:(

So there WAS overcharging in December? Not just a case of delaying?

"VC say delaying, - I say overcharging: you say tomayto, I say tomato" -

Sincerely, if you're going to fight them, I wish you the very, very best of luck. And patience.

well i used a prepaid bundle for feb and my contract sim was taken out and put in a safe and i still ended up with a R2000 bill for feb so whats the point, the best thing to do is cancel contracts with vodacom!!

Have you checked your bank account to see if it reflects your statement?/ I've noticed that the credits do go through but only reflects a month later on your statement.

yeah they called my sis and said someone is using it and she told them firstly that the sim wasnt even in the data card and that she was using a prepaid card and they said they will try and call me in paris but havent heard from them agaian! thta was around lunch today!!

No, there are no credits showing on my account - only debits as per usual. Vc billed me the full (disputed) amount on March 1. I was told it was too late to reverse that debit order - fair enough. Then the credit would be passed before the next debit order, in other words, the current statement should now reflect a credit - it doesn't. But, if what you say is so, then I should get a pleasant surprise only on April 1st, regardless of what the billing department do or don't decide to actually print on my statement.

no such things as a pleasant suprise exist with vodacom
lol

INcorrect..Vodacom credited my account by almost R900.00.
I paid R21.00 for Jan. usage.

They fixed my problem to my satisfaction.Im waiting for end of this month though..Will they or wont they ....
