Rain Mobile Feedback Thread

Rain has been unusable for me as well all afternoon.
Ended up buying Telkom data at 16h30 and gave up on rain. Will see tomorrow itlf it's up again.

Was considering reactivating my account but after reading the last couple of pages on this thread, I'm going to hold off.

I cancelled mine too, I couldn't handle it anymore, I'll get a new SIM card when things are better. Funny thing is rain won't even let us know what is happening. You call them they keep saying the same old shyit about moving the router around and changing wlan channels like that stuff helps with connection.

They fokken messed something up setting up 5g, the least they could do is communicate with customers.

I have tweeted both Khaya Dlanga, Rain CMO and the official Rain account about the issues with connectivity over the past week or so but no response from either........

Guess they too busy touting their 5G rollout to worry about things like providing a stable 4G service.

Some days good, others bad. On avg about 4Mbps (Good Day), today chugging along at 13Mbps. I'm dumbstruck

2nd day in a row that there is no service on the rain network.
i tried contacting them through their website yesterday, nut I was no less than 20th in queue every time i tried the chat option.
and now, this morning the chat option isn't available. it just says send us a message...
on their website it says to move the router around, or go outside, then manually change the APN.
Tried all of that, no joy.
I have noticed in the last month, my signal strength has been getting worse and worse.
and now nothing at all.

They were leaders when they first launched.
It was great value for money having uncapped internet for R250 per month for 19 hours.
Up until a few months ago it was ok, but now service levels are gone down the drain.
The competition from other vendors is heating up.
I think they are going to lose quite a few people along the way now.
5G isn't really that affordable for everyone, so if they are only concentraing on that, it is a huge disservice to their loyal 4G customers.
I am just waiting for a Black Friday deal to evaluate jumping ship.

What a clusterfck. And Rain is pulling a Afrihost by simply not saying dck about it to their customers.

Not raining on any bodies parade but some people aren't complaining. Still getting there value for money. I have jumped off that boat awhile ago because sometimes it feels like this product is discriminatory.

I will probably cancel my uncapped after my December holiday, keeping the sim as backup only when I have issues on the main sim.
