Router Battery Backup

How long do these units last for .. not in hours saying like 2 years ? 5 years ?

Most of them use 18650 lithium ion cells so they should last near an eternity, 5yrs easy and even up to 10Yrs depending on the cell quality.
Also it’s very easy to replace the cells if needs be and it just occurred to me now you can even increase the capacity by adding more cells.

If changing the capacity of the batts, consider the fact that the BMS has to be instructed of this new capacity.

So for the layman, a replacement of batts with higher quality cells like 30Qs might be the best bet as long as you're able to attached the wires to the batts without damaging/overheating the cell.

BMS's work on voltages not capacity.
