Well I need to replace the batteries I've been using for 5 years, the mecer inverter is still running as well.great to hear, i dig awesome feedback, thanx for the share

I have a single 3A CCTV power supply with 2 7 Ah batteries powering my ONT, Mikro tik router (which switches to built in Wifi if it can no longer find the Ubiquiti AP) and my Pi 3b running Home Assistant.
I do switch the latter off if the power is off too long (like today, didn't come up after first round of loadshedding). The Pi gets its power from a 12V to 5V DC-DC buck converter.
So far I've only had the system shut down once due to low batteries, most other times it last the couple of hours.

Maybe. Communica is at Samrand. Anyone can walk in and buy. They have everything you can imagine. I try to avoid it because I will spend all my money there...
If you are talking about the cctv 12v ups then no you don't. At 3A it's sufficient to run at least 3 x 12v routers/ont/switches.

The 3700mAh I presume is at 12V
They use 18650 cells. Do you know how many there are in that fat enclosure?
Apologies, I am referring to the modem/device for the fibre cable which feeds in to the router.

My 2000VA UPS keep my ONT/router (that's openserve, the openserve router and then the NetGear router) online for at least 6 hours yesterday (loadshedding followed by power outage)

What size (and how many) batteries does it use?
Yes well the router and the ONT needs to be powered so depends on what solution you use. As long as both gets power you are good to go you don't have to use separate ups or batteries both can use the same as long as they get power.
Do these come with spit connections for both the router and the ont?

It was a 1500VA from Makro, had 2 x 7ah batteries, old stock that was on sale. The batteries died eventually, upgraded it with 2 X 9ah batteries, thus why I say it's a 2000VA now.

Mine is a normal UPS, comes with a kettle cord plugs for PC usage, so use a small multiplug made for that plug

No but you should be able to make those yourself relatively easily.

No idea how many cells but it's a big housing
According to the info here there are 3 18650 cells not sure if that is correct my casing is sealed still new otherwise i would have opened it up already
This RATEL 430S also looks like n nice option especially that you can add a solar panel to it
