Router Battery Backup

Anyone have a smallish UPS that doesn’t beep? Used to have an APC and even turning it off via their clunky software wouldn’t shut it up.

Measure the resistance of the speaker, and replace it with an LED of same rating

All of these:

2 x LTE routers
Load balancer
Wifi AP
16 Port switch
IP Camera
VOIP

They are all low amp 12 V devices afaik.

I can't recall of hand of any models with a physical switch to turn it off, the glue works well buzzer still works but is muffled thanks to the glue (more drops of glue the quieter it goes) - this is what i used on the APC i had.

Lol and if warranty you can claim it came like that :) the buzzer is so small and it's a generic one doubt any one can see the glue inside and if they do will think its from manufacture

For the APC? Why, it's their software?

Anyway that was five years ago and I want to buy a new one.

Anyone know of one that is silent or has a physical audible switch. The APC + PC + proprietary software + proprietary cable that forgets it setting was a crap experience.

That is one of the reasons why I upgraded my UPSs to inverters. I had three different brands (APC, Eaton and Powercom) and only one high-end APC had a mute switch (cheaper APCs didn't).
 
I bought one of these: Mecer 650VA Offline UPS from Incredible Connection.

Had no clue about the specs, just knew it was cheap.

I'm trying to power a 12V ADSL router, Raspberry Pi 4 and an external HDD but it seems to die before loadshedding ends... Is the load too much for this UPS or is there something else I should check?

The way I read this:

3-9 Silence function
The buzzer can be turned “On” or “Off” by pressing the [ On Test ] button when
the UPS is in “ON-BATTERY mode”.

Is that it will beep until you press the button each time.

My APCs could be muted by pressing the power button once when it was doing it's job. Prolonged press needed to switch UPS off.
