Router Battery Backup

What's the best solution at the moment for a 9V router and a 12V ONT?
I'm kind of wondering if the 12V unit won't work on 9V. Some electronics are very lenient in that way. I used to power an old 19V Telkom router with a 12V PSU and it worked fine for years.

Just don't give the 9V unit 12V by mistake, otherwise you'll likely let out the magic smoke.

It's an Archer C20, and the ONT is Nokia.

How will I be able to run the Huawei B2338 router during loadshedding ?

On the back is says : Input: 56V........0.536A

Surely here is an electrical engineer on mybroadband, why don't we build out own, improved version of the ratel, with double the batteries (at 80 bucks a cell it's not expensive).

If you are an electrical engineer, pm me maybe I can buy the schematics off you and then I'll do the rest (source, build, design the body, manufacture the pcbs etc)
