Router Battery Backup

We've been using one of these for the last 2 years. It won't keep everything up for longer than 3 - 4 hours but does the job. We only plug in the laptop when it's battery starts dying after 1.5 hours or so.

Adding a laptop to the equation really escalates things. Better to get DC UPS for router/ONT for less than R1k and use laptop battery or get a second laptop battery.

Or you have to go with inverter/battery for R8k.

How do you get a connector for the laptop?

.. and an occasional coffee and the oven, and maybe the pool pump on weekends.

Router ONT is much less than Laptop (and laptop has a battery??) much less than a desktop, much less than anything moving, much less than anything heating...

Those ellies power cubes are a good inbetween - will run your electronics inc tvs if not crazy big
-- got myself a yooboa cube (like half the ellies cube above) which will run my desktop but doesnt seem to charge very well (and has a very noisy and start/stop fsn when it gets warm!)

Are the Ellies loud too?

I have a Ratel 860p (brand new) that I want to use to power up my fibre ont black box (12v) and my TP link router (9v).

I notice the RATEL 860p only has only 1 selector 9v or 12v option. I see many on this forum using 860p, how do you guys power up both Ont black box and Fibre router if it only has one selector ?
The TP link will fry I'm sure if I use it in the 12v option as it’s mark 9v.

That switch is for the red port. there are another 4 12v ports on the right.

Was just going to post that. The Eco 8100 and the Ratel 8100 are the same item.
Just bought one, powering Asus DSL-AC68U off the 19V output and a 12V ONT with no problems, gets me easily through loadshedding.
The hardest part was getting the $^%$ connectors sorted out. Can't manufacturers damn well standardize??!
Can't get 4mmx1.35mm cables easily, and ended up with a convoluted solution of 2 x USB to DC cables, joined by a double USB female connector, with a 5.5mm plug at one end, and a 4mm at the others. Bizarre. But it works.
Thank goodness for Chinese gadget shops.

Isn't the USB port only rated for 1A?

How many Wh on the Yooboa you have?

I see Gizzu has a 296Wh unit, as well as a 518Wh unit.

Pure sine wave, and that 518Wh would do fine for a TV.
