So kudos to Ellies, not even 5 minutes in and out. They swapped it out with a new one and didn't even bother testing the old one (although the assistant said they normally do).

I am honestly not clued up about the smaller power banks like the Ratel, but if you post the particular model I can check for you. To be plug n play with solar it needs to have a built in solar charge controller an a port where you plug the solar.@TheChamp Pleeeeeeeeze can you help, you know about this stuff.
Does the Ratel just plug and play with a Solar panel and is it feasible to move it inside into a cupboard between uses![]()
I believe the Ratel 860p that he is referring to has thr solar charge controller and portI am honestly not clued up about the smaller power banks like the Ratel, but if you post the particular model I can check for you. You do get portable panels for that kind of stuff.
That's perfect, something like this would work like a charm, pity there is no 100W but a pair of those can easily be place on the right facing windows with those suction things and charge the Ratel battery, if not in use they are easy to store.I believe the Ratel 860p that he is referring to has thr solar charge controller and port

Yes it has, so the foldable panel would be a good match, Google and see if you cannot even get the 50W, every amp counts.Thank you kind sir.
That is an AWESOME idea to stick it to a window. This is the Ratel but it only takes a 50W panel so I'll get a 40W foldable panel like the one you mention.
Please can you tell me if it's got the controller you and @Dee96 spoke about.

EDIT: Found them
Vizia - swing and miss?
I'm just surprised that my first Vizia is still going strong, powering a fibre ONT, Gigabit WiFi router and 5 port Gigabit switch with no issue - yet this bigger one dies after a few months....They (Vizia) basically just buy OEM devices and rebrand. At a pretty profit, I should add. Search the forum for some of their takealot shenanigans.
I had that exact same mini UPS - but no name brand bought from Geewiz for 1/3 or 1/2 the price.
Vizia is even registered to sell medical gear in SA, none of which they make themselves.
More PoE mini UPSesHi All. Not sure if this is the right thread. What is the simplest way to power 2 x unifi access points that powered with poe injectors.
I have a gizzu to power a Nokia ont and rb4011.
Thanks. I have one access point requiring 48v and the other 24v so looking for unit to supply simultaneos differing voltages been crap. Might have to replace one access point. I don't know.More PoE mini UPSes
Both ap's are powered from a central point next to router and oNT. But I've got those covered. Just need solution to power the AP's. Let me check the ultralan UPs out. Do u have a link?Uniterm sells the Ultralan UPSes that can do 48v,but I assume your points are distributed so a central UPS wouldn't do then anyway
