Router Battery Backup

Can you keep that mini cube plugged in permanently, or do you need to make the switch when the power trips?

With that being said, you have up to 800W capacity, so add all wattage of the items you intend to run and make sure its under 800w.

what do you mean by discharging it ?
 
do these UPS systems also switch over directly ?

do you need to keep it plugged in all the time to an electric source ?

cos i plugged it in last night checked the battery says full

and then switched it off the mains
 
@I.am.Sam - Lead acid batteries do not like to be used beyond 50% charge. More than that they start to hurt themselves in terms of life span.

The inverter acts as a pass-through, so you "should" not notice when the power goes off/on however you will hear it normally.

Do you have an idea how long this will last if only used for Fibre ONT 12v & Router 9v ?
 
Netogy doing its first shift already.

12v ONT and 9v Router running smoothly.

It came charged at 75% out of the box. Had about 10min plugged in before loadshedding struck.

Only negative or rather just frustrating thing thus far. The AC power cable is just stupidly short. And the DC cables not much to talk home about either. So everything needs to be within VERY close proximity of each other.

You can get DC extension cables. I've got two hooked up to a DC splitter cable to power my ONT and router.

Will definitely get for future.

But out of the box it is a bit frustrating to be limited to such short coverage areas.

But it is working beautifully. Will check how much battery it used when they unshed us in 90min.
 
My Gizzu 8800mah also arrived today. Using it to power one of my wifi mesh routers in the separate entrance, so far so good, scheduled for LS at 10pm tonight.

Have my router and ont powered by a ultralan mini in the house
