It’s very easy to remedy, all you need is a charger that can output 4-4.2V 1A and you are good to go.

I wonder how it can go so out of balance. I assume it's 2S2P, the one pack is dead (2.5V) while the other is fully charged (4.2V). Maybe a faulty cell? Do you still get the same runtime?

Router UPS Advice.
Good day all, is there anyone that can give me advice which router UPS to buy for my router and Fiber switch.
Something simple that can run both devices 2-4 hrs.
My Fiber switch the from Vumatel installed is a Raycore, I think uses 12v
My router Asus RT-AC88u is 19v - LINK
Was looking at this but not sure will last long enough for both routers ?
Any suggestions appreciated.

Yes 2s2p, 2.5v is far from dead, I’ve rescued 18650 cells from under 1v and they are still plodding along just fine years later. I didn’t notice any runtime issues but I hadn’t used it for a good month or two so I assumed maybe I left it switched on but that is not really possible considering it has a very bright led when it’s powered on and I would have noticed that. I didn’t break the battery up so potentially one cell in the drained parallel side has issues but when I charged that bank alone both cells were at the same temperature so I’m assuming they are both fine and the bank just got unbalanced somehow.
the thing is, if in a series setting, the batteries (or pairs) aren't well matched, this will happen again.
I have a 18650 charger that can also do discharge tests. In these series applications, I always try to match batteries with very similar capacities

True, it will probably require maintenance again or knowing how these things are made the cells weren't balanced at all during production so my balancing them will go some way to keeping them balanced for longer.
It’s nice that they use 18650 cells and not li-po, I was going to scavenge the cells if the unit was otherwise dead. 18650 cells are incredibly reliable and long lived, I have some that are probably 15yrs old and still chugging away without missing a beat other than losing some capacity.
I've not had good experiences with the Vizia units. They last about a year and a half or so and then die unexpectedly. I've got 2 out of 3 units which are not working. One is still chugging along on the ONT but they were all working as one UPS per device, so quite well over provisioned. Ideally you should get a LiFePO device as the Vizia use LiNMC batteries which have fewer charge cycles. The Ellies Cube Mini, Titan Elecstor and Gizzu (LifePO) are serving me well on different devices all over the house but I don't have any 19v routers.
If you don't find anything else I'd go with that Vizia on the Asus and maybe a LFP Gizzu on the other routers.

3.2V x 14.4Ah = 46Wh (assuming LFP cell V is 3.2V) although fully charged is 3.65 so ? 52.6 Wh?

I received the Elecstor 100w mini UPS today and I am really impressed!
75Wh for R1299 is good value. It has multiple outlets of different voltages and also came with several cables and adapters.
I like the look of it too, like a little decoder
It also shows how many Watts you're drawing at any given time. My setup uses between 12W to 13W, meaning I should get over 6 hours without breaking a sweat. After tonight's two hour load shedding, the battery indicator light was still on full
I'm very chuffed and would highly recommend it to anyone else.
Only downside I can think of is there is no POE but that wasn't a requirement for me

I would personally be slightly suspicious of the "12000mah" description on Takealot, there are are some 8800mah units that have been incorrectly described as 12000mah on there. Sometimes one sees reviews there where people have opened them to find the same 4*2200mah cells as on all the 8800mah units. There are loads of identical 8800mah units like that, all from the same base model but sometimes with different branding or an extra cable or something, but generally they are the same model one can order in bulk from China.May do this for the extra 3200mAh.

It looks like even the newer 530p model will still have 4*2200mah li-ion cells:

The thing about the 8800mah/32wh units is they are cheap and will give you a good period of service before declining too much, even if they are not LFP - I had one on my router a couple of years ago before replacing with a Gizzu 69wh LFP unit which has been excellent. But I still have that old 430p ups as a power supply for a 12v emergency light so it's still in use in some way and for the price they will do the job for a while.
