MyBB should write an article on this. This is dangerous, i'm sure SAMSUNG can investigate the cause and warn others. Is there a national consumer agency that certifies these devices for safety ? Is it ICASA?
A pocket is where most people carry it.![]()
He has no right to contact your boss since it is a personal contract. For that you deserve an apology.personal contract.
It's definitively not Samsung policy to treat customer like that. That is not just underhanded that is a veiled threat. When I moaned about the treatment, (they made me feel as if I was trying to con them), he threatened me by saying he would speak to my bosses... Our office is in the same building in JHB...
Man and bag don't go together unless you married to one.You should buy a manbag!!!!
I leave my S6 in the car while at gym. Maybe I'll take it with from now on. Don't wanna come back to a pile of ash.

twisted:
go to a lawyer OP, sue and sue quickly, a replacement phone isnt considered "compensation"
in America, the person that it happened to would live like evil Knievel now...
get a nice lawyer, say lawyer costs to be covered by the compensation, and sue the hell out of them,
check this link out, people have done this before:

Hmmm... this is concerning. What container would be able to withstand the heat generated by something like this? Got a few phones at home that is now slowly becoming a fire hazard it seems.
With added sulphur and methane? This isn't a heat problem. This is air getting in where it shouldn't be.
Lithium + Oxygen = fireworks

I'd say yesLeak in the battery ?

Couple of observations:
who is holding the phone in post 1?
what was done with the phone once it was removed from said pocket?
the jeans should have been pretty badly burnt?
Looking at that phone, the seat should have been as badly damaged as the phone shown, yet only the seat belt was burnt?1. Cant answer.
2. Read OP:
tossed it onto the passenger seat and immediately the car was filled with smoke.
I jumped out, ran round the back to the passenger door, opened the door and in a brushing motion, brushed the phone from the seat onto the pavement.
3. Hey OP! Pics of jeans required to make BigAl-sa happy.

Something bothers me about this thread.
