Does anyone have anymore info on this.I can not believe MTN will not stock this Galaxy S2

It just make good and solid business sense to stock the s2. Why shoot yourself in the foot?

Cellular networks do not always approve certain handset models, due to the fact they do not perform as well on their respective networks. The approval of any new handset on the cellular network is determined by the tests it undergoes. We cannot confirm the date when the testing will take place for the Samsung Galaxy S2.

Kindly be advised that we cannot provide any information on the above mentioned handset because of the latter.

this because i was letting them know that virgin was already advertising the s2. but maybe it is an insight into why mtn wouldn't stock it? just a thought...

The problem can also be with WHO answered the phone at the retention office. In past experience with sp's I get the feeling they know less than me, specially afa not yet released phones are concerned
 
Just ordered mine from amazon.co.uk, delivery to my dad's company in the UK and will come home with him. So skipping the customs charge :p R5750.

I was going to go with the Sensation but you guys convinced me otherwise.

Upgrading from a nokia N95 8g.
 
Hey guys, for those of you being ass raped by customs, one thing I did once was phone SARS before ordering and got them to tell me the exact amount/formula for the category of item I was ordering. They also give you a case number, maybe this would be helpful so one can dispute and challenge customs and the money they request?

been a bit quiet recently... COS I GOT THE PHONE YESTADAY :)))

Awesome machine, light like a feather, screen's the best I've seen... but I need to get used to it... maybe I should download a manual!

It does things a bit differently compared to the DHD, so yeah, need bonding time pplz!
 
Congrats!! This is a great phone. I even sold my Iphone4 yesterday. The dhd I sold 2 months ago. No need for any backup phone any more.
 
DHD is/was a great phone but the battery life did not work for me. The only problem I'm having with the s2 is receiving/sending of a mms. The settings VC send me is not working. Although MMS is not a big deal for me it is just irritating not getting it to work
 
dunno, that free news 4 u thingy came through this morning, didnt bother to even open the slide.
I prefer not to have mms, as the guys as work use my phone as the company phone to download pics that clients send through...
 
Hey, could anyone that has an S2 and has an S1.. could someone compare the font sizes from the S1 to S2?

One of the things I love about the S1 is that it's a dream on the eyes compared to some HTC Android handsets, I know you can change some fonts in Android and there are mods but I'd rather get a handset that's easy to see out the box and mod/change it later.
 
Don't know what the s1 fonts looked like but the s2 is very easy on the eyes. Very similar to the Iphone and much, much better than the dhd
 
To those of you still looking ... I see that Handtec has dropped the price of the S2 even further! :D

I'm looking at things rationally, I don't need a new phone until August, and by then I'm sure I can save a few bucks more!
