Was maybe just the local MTN tower in my area then but a new sim resolved the problem, just a little hint that might help other people.
Could have kept it to myself, but forums are about sharing knowledge.
Lol, lies i used an old (read: OLD) red cellc 16k sim in my s2 running cm10 (4.1.1) for months and no problems with h+.

On that note, the source code still isn't available for this leaked ROM, is it? Meaning, is this leak usable to custom developers?

Well, it depends, they can use most of the new features in the ROM, but no butter/hwc till sources are released. And no custom kernels either. So it is more like modded stock than custom. Not cm10 or aokp can use much of this, yet.

Eish, is it just me or is battery life lacking in this stock ROM? I've dissabled googleNOW, sighned out of gtalk, dissabled motion and smartstay, put it on GSM only and I'm connected to WIFI. Still, battery is going down too fast for my liking.... Come on GM...

Also, for those who haven't flashed yet, look at this guys "SLIM" stock ROM

Slim ROM downloaded last night, but it fails Signature on flash. :(

For battery life, disable/freeze all apps with Test in the name. :)

+1

A new sim improved my signal and battery life by quite a bit. It all depends on the tower you use. Although I did get HSDPA with my old 32k sim, the new 128k sim did benefit me.

Edit: Vodacom. Cape Town. Thornton area.

Hmm, west says he's releasing a new ROM for teh note, here's to hoping the S2's next =P

PS: I've frozen quite a few things but the stock ROM's batterylife is just horrible.

Also heard that it doesn't work on the nee bootlosders.

Doesn't Triangle Away do the same job?

I went back to CM10 official nightly (20 November release - also coolest bootanimation ever) and Dorimanx 7.22. There's no triangle ;-) (because of the kernel)
And my battery lives again!

Enjoy. It really is good. However, I'm getting the same out of my battery on 4.1.2 stock as I was with CM10 nightly. I guess I froze the right services. ;) (It doesn't hurt to have a 2000mAh battery, either)

Where did you get the freeze list? Please share what you froze

Sorry, but I haven't seen betterylife like this in a long time, it's twice as much as the leaked ROM gave me.

1H 50min screen on time:

Then it might be time to invest in a new battery. Unless you listen to a lot of music or live in an area with very bad reception.

I almost never get less than 3h on screen with at least 30mins of music these days.
